Hey, Jeff! Now, I'm a little discombobulated by what you're asking here. Do you want us to name any band we think has a great name or can WE make up a name? I mean, "Sgt. Pompous" appeared in Shrek 2, but that was not a real life band... I'm making this harder than it needs to be.

I'll go ahead and go for both angles:

Favorite Real Life Band Name: Mothers Of Invention... Frank Zappa wanted to name his band The Mothers but for obvious reasons, he had to change it to The Mothers Of Invention. That was 1965, you see.

Made-Up Name: SkidMark & The Tighty Whiteys

I always liked the fun oddity of David Letterman's band when still on NBC, Paul Shaffer and The World's Most Dangerous Band. For a made up one, how about Large Round of Indifference? 😉

Hey, Kitten! You know how I love anything having to do with music. By the way, I entered that "SkidMark" name in a similar thread at MySpace... a kid who is forming a Punk Rock band asked me if he could use the name. So, if you hear about a Punk Rock band with that name, you'll know where it came from.

Honestly I wasn't asking anything, I just thought that was an absolutely hilarious name for a band. I still can't keep from cracking up when I say it out loud.

Daddy and I have some friends in a band called "Nobody Knows". They wanna change their name but I think it's classic cuz it could make for an interesting Abbott and Costello monologue. As for a made up name. I've always been partial to the name Angel Soft and the Poopshoots. BUT I have to admit that Vlad and the Impalers is hella cool!!!
