GSP vs. Hughes this Saturday

I won't go into the huge detail on account of I'm moving tomorrow, but my card has Lister, Guillard and Machida winning in the undercard and:

Liddell beating Silva by KO, Round 1

Silva will come straight at Liddell and start swinging, which is what Liddell wants. Silva is also known for taking a hit in order to land one, and you can't do that against Liddell. One solid counterpunch and the fight's over.

AND

St. Pierre beating Hughes by TKO, Round 3 or less

See previous two fights between the two. As long as GSP doesn't make any huge mental mistakes, Hughes doesn't have a chance.

GSP/Hughes- If Hughes gets it to the ground he'll win, standing GSP will outclass him

Lidell/Silva- HMMM.......Liddell has dangerous hands, Silva has dangerous knees. If Liddell stays back and makes Silva come to him, Liddel will take it. If he does what he did with Jardine and go straight in, it'll be a bad day for him.

Hughes tried multiple times to take down GSP in their previous fights and he couldn't do it. Hell, Koschek is a more explosive wrestler than Hughes and he couldn't take down GSP either. Bottom line, Hughes is in for a long night.

A strong stand-up fight between Liddell and Silva for certain, but Chuck just kept bashing him over and over. Another round and it would have been a KO for Liddell. Welcome back, Iceman!

Hughes had the right game plan; get GSP down and wrestle him. What surprised me was the fact that GSP took Hughes down so easily and repeatedly and had his way with him for 10 minutes. For a wrestler of Hughes' pedigree, that's kind of embarrassing. Hit the gym GSP. You got Serra on deck!

I don't know, Liddell seemed tired, even Joe Rogan said Chuck tried so hard to knock out Silva, he seemed out of gas. One more round, never know. Chuck won, but Silva impressed me. He took everything Chuck had, and kept coming forward.
Out of the entire card, this one is the one that went the distance, wow.

As for Hughes, I rooted for him, but GSP is #1 (except maybe Fitch). He's awesome.

Fitch might be the only serious contender for the belt if GSP keeps it after the Serra fight (rumoured to be in April in Montreal). Parisyan is another big name as is Swick, but nobody else at 170 is at GSP's level.

Chuck looked like a completely different fighter that night.I was really happy to see him win.That opens the door for a lot of different fights,including Rua or Machida.Lyoto looked really good as well.Him and Chuck would make for a really interesting fight.

I can't disagree with you. The only way GSP loses is if he makes a mental mistake. Without a doubt, the best 170er in the world, maybe the best pound-for-pound. I'd love to see him and Penn throwdown again.
