my god, i just found out you can break your vehicle's axles so they don't drive. sometimes, when you drop a gun, it goes off when it hits the ground. one time, i shot a cop when i had a sliver of health left, and when the gun fell, it shot me. i mean dam this game feels real and it's addicting. lmao, it even has an addicting level meter!

i still get a kick outta just launching myself off of bikes and loving the ragdoll effects.

Ah yes, the GTA obligatory bank job... it leaves a nice paycheck with the account though. 🙂 I've done so many bloody missions and I'm only now halfway through the game... I mean come frickin on!!!

and nothing pisses me off more than getting clipped by a car, into an obstacle that chucks me out through the windshield of my hard-to-find Infernus. Three Infernuses found, all three resulted in windshield flight.

Ooh yeah. The Multiplayer alone is worth 60 bucks in my opinion. I mean come on, 16 people running around blowing each other up with RPG's and what not? Fun times. Big Dogg, you get to the Text Message car missions yet? Such a pain in the ass lol.

Anything involving Brucie and cars I have avoided til now, just started them the other day. There's a pretty neat Easter Egg in the "Statue of Happiness". Do multiplayer, free roam, get a chopper, and get up to the second level... secret room and that's all I'm saying. 😉

Well I bought it and just I suspected...i've lost interest in the story all together.

You know there has been one thing that has always pissed me off about the GTA series. They give you all these vehicals, methods to kill, weapons etc and there are police in the game. Come on it's like the game is telling me to be boring or will make it not fun for you. I have to use cheat codes for goodness sake just to go on a killing spree. BS.

I've always had mixed feeling for the GTA series, and this one is the same, but for different reasons.

with the old GTA's I never liked the "cheap shots" that it those to seem edgy, I really got pissed off when I heard of the hot coffee. But I have always admired the openess that it gives, and I see more of a game that by itself it's ok, but once you start ignoring all gamer insinks such as finish the story and not using cheat codes, it's a ver good time waster, especially since the game itself doesn't take itself seriously. I don't care about being the big cheese of the whole city, I just want to drive my flying tank :ggrin: .

Now GTAIV is the reversal of this. The story (atleast in my opinion atleast) seems to have matured alot more, but this also leave it to be too serious. and the openess that I loved seems more claustophobic now since there are almost no open spaces to drive the car, and all the traffic just slows you down alot :S. Not to mention they took out all type of cheat codes that made teh game crazier but still kept witht he full health and weapons ones. I miss my flying care and water driving cheats :'(.

Speaking of sandbox gameplay goodness, i just can't wait until Prototype releases. you seen the trailer for this game? looks wicked sick!

I just beat the story recently and there's a point where the ending is different (You can choose)...and wow, my ending was quite sad. It definitely is a more serious story than others but it leaves the door open for Rockstar to do a Vice City and San Andreas make with this storyline... maybe.

To add to my previous post: you need to find this "secret place" in single player to get a pigeon... use rpg.

Good grief, I really have to get my hands on a PS3 (and 360-ers beware, I'm already decided on it). See, I have a Wii, and as much fun as it is and as many great games as I have for it, I need something with a little more Oomph. (More specifically, a GTA4-flavoured Oomph). All the big games that I wanna buy this year don't seem to be coming out for it. (Burnout Paradise, I'm looking at you!)

I figure I'll need to save for another Month or so before I can afford one, and then ANOTHER Month on top of that to buy a High-Def telly. Saving is hard, but I'll get there. Eventually!

As for the ending of GTA IV, they both really suck and I don't see how one could be considered "good" compared to the either but that's just me. And for the record... i know, i love that! my favorite is making a traffic jam and tossing just one grenade into the mix for a chain explosion and then more cars pull up to the burning ones and blow up. i had chain explosions running for 15 minutes straight, until a SUV blew up and hit me and squashed me between a building.

ok ya, but i don't see the need to drop another $400 for another system unless it's for MGS4 or better yet... Resistance: Fall of Man 1 & 2.... *drools*

Lucky for me I didn't have to drop 400 dollars. Lol careful planning and using discounts and trade values lol. Gamestop was running a promotion to get 100 bucks off a PS3 with a trade in of a PS2. I ended up doing that, along with my xbox games that wouldn't play on my 360, and my employee discount only to end up paying about 100 bucks cash outta pocket for a PS3, Resistance, Motorstorm, PS2 Memory Card converter and HD cables. Course we're talking like a month after the system came out, and mine was used lol. But yeah, no lie. It's sat and collected dust up until two days ago when I started playing the other Metal Gears to get ready for 4, lol.
