GTA: Vice City (Saving Lance from the junk yard)

Ok guys, this may or not be an origanal idea but I thought of it on my own. It is a different way to get Lance Vance out of the Junk Yard were Diaz's men are beating him to death. This can only work if you have the Hyman Condo (located near Hyman Memorial Stadium), because of the hillicopter.

1) Take the hillicopter and fly it to the Malibu club and land it in the grass infront of the club. Be carful because you can bump the chopper and damage it.

2) After talking to Kent Pole fly the Chopper to the Junkyard and lan it in the ally you would normally drive up. Not to close, because they will be shooting at you and will hit the Hellicopter.

4) Quickly, but carefully, shoot your way thre the yard until you get to the room were there keeping Lance. Make sure you take out all of Diaz's men, so you can make it back to the junkyard entrence unmolested.

5) Fly the chopper back to the Hyman Condo (the traffic will be pushing against it so it will have some damage), were another chopper will be waitting, and fly Lance to the Hospital from there. The mision will be compleat once you get him to the pink area infront of the hospital.

The toughest part of this for me was landing in the allyway leading up to the junk yard it's a little narrow and I think I realy fluked it myself. Good Luck and Good Gamming.

When I get stuck, I usually use a site that has the cheat codes and strategies. How did you do 'Guardian Angels'? I was stuck on that mission for 2 months, got sick of it, and did a memory card transfer.

Guardian angels? Is that the one where the marines beat the shit out of you if you try to steal their tank? Gits! 😡

I always buy the Players Guide for games like this. Working my way through Rogue Leader and Mario Sunshine on the Gamecube at the mo. Difficult as hell.
I ain't even completed GTA 3 yet, let alone VC. I'll get back to them sooner or later though.

That's quite near the beginning of the game isn't it? I did that second time I tried it. 😀

Jump Dowm

Well the most important thing with Guardian angles it wo make sure you have some Body Armer. Then you got to the spot to meet Diaz.I shoot the first to cuban from the pirtch on the fireescape, anthen I chaing to my Ozzie and jump down form the fireescape. Then, locking target, I blast at the Cubans until nopne are left standing. After that you chase one guy down with on a motorcycle and shoot at hime with the oozie.

The deal for the tank I found out in Playstation Magazine. Park a car infront of the jeep thats infront of the tank. A guy will go to move the jeep, when he does steal the tank and drive it to were your suposed too.

I never did finish that mission, I did a memory card transfer. I found a whole bunch of cheat codes. I like the one for better driving skills, except I sometimes forget that with that code you no longer have a horn.

Here's how to do it.



Body armor is your friend...find some. Usually you can find it on the same road the Malibu club is on..I think there's a building with the name ''standing vince point'' or something like that on the right side --when your heading from the direction of the lawer's office to the club-- where there's body armor near a pole on that building.

The other thing you should know...is to NOT use the assault rifle..that thing is a pain in the ass to aim. Instead, go to Ammunation and pick up the sub-machine gun and alot of bullets--you get more bullets by choosing the gun again and again-- weapons that lock onto the target are definately your friend in this level. Lock on, and pump a few rounds into each gang member...don't worry about hitting lance or the other ''good'' guys...the weapons only lock onto your enemies during this time.

Now, when the guys on the dirtbikes try to take off when the money, and one of them is stopped, jump down from the stairs if you haven't done so...then run to the other motorbike, and drive fast, but carefully after the other guy....

The sub-machine gun is useful here too....try to pull up next to the other guy--but like i said, be careful about it-- and then shoot him. Once he's dead, all you have to do is grab the money, return it to the other guy, and you're done with the mission. 🙂

Oh and if you have trouble pulling up to the guy on the bike and shooting him, don't worry...just follow him and use your bike to try to make him spin out, possibly into a car or building. Eventually, he's gonna get careless and run into something anyway, so be patient...he'll get what's comin to him.😉

Do they manage to pull you out because you're going so slow😕 I haven't played the mission yet...haven't gotten to it....but when I played GTA3, I found out something....well, i remember this one show on the discovery channel about how ...if you make the tank's gun point to the rear, and keep firing it, you can make the tank go pretty darn fast...it works in Vice City too.😀

Maybe that'll help make the mission somewhat easier.

Hmmmm. I think he next one will be in a city called San Andreas, that'll be based on Los Angeles. The first ever GTA game had three cities. Liberty City (New York), Vice City (Miami) and San Andreas(LA). GTA III and VC have done the first two of those so presumably, San Andreas will be next.

Actually, as I was browsing the Holy Grail of electronic stores, Media Play, I found a boxed set of GTA games that were GTA, GTA 2, and GTA London. I'm tempted to buy it.

Never Heard Of that one...

Hay Limeoutsider, I never new there was a GTA London. Is it only available in the UK or something? Bloody English, you buggers get everything, except Red Rose Tea (thats only in Canada LOL).I think the next game should be GTA: Great White North. It would take place in 1988 (2 years after Vice City), and Tommy Vercetti would be on the run to a made up city in Quebec Canada. Reason being is to evaid Tax Evation charges. His friend Ken Rosenberg would go with him, and they would fall into the midle of a biker war. Tooy would play both sides agains each other and then take over the city for himself in the end.

I dunno, but Ray Liotta (the voice of Tommy Vercetti) has been a movie star for years. He's been in shit-loads of films.

Another Hint

Not only is body Armour your friend but so is the Hellicopter. I recently took the Mantion from Diaz, and this is how I did it.
Once again I whent to tge Hymen condo, and took the chopper to the coke barons mantion. Then I stepped into the pink area on the sidewalk, and Lance Vance pulled in with two Semi-Automatic guns. Next we got into the copter and flew to the top of the mantion and walked down the stairs (avoiding the ground level guards) the guys in the house apeared to be looking down at the door and were easy pickings for Lance and Tommy. The we waisted Diaz. By the way, I find, that the Oozy is the best wepon for this mission when I did it this way.
