"I think there has been a little confusion regarding the total amount of gold we are going to collect from your village in the name of... um... Protection. You see, when I said five gold ingots, I was obviously referring to five gold ingots in human measurements, not in halfling units. A month ago, when we sealed this mutually beneficial deal, I don't recall specifying this, assuming it was something crystal clear. I'll take the blame for this one instead of thinking that you might have tried to deceive us in any way. We'll gladly accept, as a form of payment for the rest of your debt, on the one hand, a weekly delivery of a cartload of food and beer, and on the other hand, that you yourself come to make the delivery, so we can have another enjoyable time with you as we're having now... You have a high-pitched giggle that's incredibly amusing, and all my comrades agree to repeat this next week, and the week after, and... Well, as many weeks as you want your village to enjoy our protection. After all, halflings have never been famous for their combat skills, and if your village were left unprotected, a disaster could strike at any moment... It's up to you."
Another one of my props that I managed to adapt to a dwarf character. Initially, the scene was going to be different; instead of a halfling, the girl was going to be a real dwarf in one of those heavy steel armors, and the barbarians were going to be orcs. However, their aesthetics were too similar -lot of steel and leather- , so I decided to change it so they could be more distinct from each other. Still, I want to do something like that; that steel and spiked armor looked great on someone caught in the Hogtied Stocks 😈. Maybe another time.
