Am I the only person who walks into a barber's with a semi-lucid idea of what I want, only to find I always walk out with something completely different?
I wouldn't have thought a bit of a trim all over would be so drastic, but I guess when she sprayed water on my hair before combing it things would inevitably go downhill from there. The sides sprung out like an 18th century wig, then she put some cream on, the aroma of which bore a suspicious resemblance to wasabi. Even worse somehow. I am of the school of thought that a haircut should not cast its own distinct shadow. I think someone actually laughed at me from their car on my short walk home.
Thoughts? Experiences? Condolences?
