It would still be good, but would not be aided by the emotional elements, undertones, and nuances that his music lends to the series, especially in the key moments.

I couldn't imagine the Sidious/Yoda duel or the Vader/Kenobi duel without the music of episode III, or perhaps more greatly, the musical number for the Vader/Luke duel in ROTJ with the choir singing along. They all had moments with choir support, but I think the ROTJ piece was his best.
