Thanks for all the kind words, my friends, it's good to know such friendly folks.

Finally, I can officially claim "Old Fart" status (sorry, Izzy), and I'm proud of it. Some of you may know why it wasn't so self-evident for me to reach this age. OMG, half a century!!!

Today, I had a wonderful "sentimental journey" back to my roots, to the small village where I was born and grew up. I visited the tombs of my mother and my grandmother (who brought me up after my mother's early death). It felt good to be there once more, although I prefer my city life.

In the evening, I went out to dinner, for the first time since about 5 years (when I had lost my job). I had the best and biggest steak I could find (unfortunately, the biggest steaks here are only 12 oz), and bottle of good red wine. Now I feel better than I have in years (albeit a little tipsy)!
