Happy Mother's Day To All Forum Moms

I know I'm a day early, but I just wanted to post to wish all the mothers of the forum a very happy Mother's Day. I hope all of you enjoy your day, with your children, and your mothers.

For myself: I feel especially blessed to have my mom still be with me this Mother's Day. Last year at this time, I honestly were not sure she would still be with me. However, thanks to her iron will, and wonderful doctors, I am thrilled she is with me this Mother's Day. God Willing, if what her doctor told us today comes to pass, she will be with me for hopefully many years to come.

Anyhow, Happy Mother's Day to all.

I know some people view it as a 'Hallmark Holiday' but it really is a special day as all of us have some thanks to give to the great people that are our mothers. I only hope that the rest of the forum has a mother as great as mine as my life has been so much better thanks to my mom.

This is a very nice thing you did wishing all the moms a happy Mothers Day. I lost my Mother in October 1999 so sometimes on Mothers day I find myself thinking about stuff like I hope I wasn't to much trouble as kid and did I do enough or say enough things to let my Mother know how much I appreciate everything my mother did for me. Enjoy tomorrow with your Mother I hope it is a good day for you and your family.

Why, thank you Mitchell.

I'll be spending my Mothers Day weekend celebrating my daughter's milestone of graduating with her bachelors. I don't know why the college has the ceremony on Mothers Day, but I don't make the rules. We're going to her celebration dinner today in order to avoid the crowds tomorrow.

I'm really proud of her; she made a mess of things for awhile but she pulled it together and got her degree requirements done. It's going to be a very good and busy weekend for the entire family.

Ladies enjoy your Mothers Day festivities.

Thank you, nice of you to say. I'm OK with it because it was a little over a 11 years ago. But it is still hard on Mothers Day to know I can't see or talk with her. So again thank you for your kind words.

Actually, I know a lot of people who are going to dinner today to avoid the crowds. My mom and I were one of them. We had lunch out, because she didnt want to deal with the crowds. My friend Adam, and his sister, are going to dinner with their mother, and their family, tonight also, for the same reason.

YW, LBFT. Time doesnt always heal all wounds. My grandmother passed away 16 years ago, and my mom and I still feel her loss. In fact, my grandmother died on the Friday before Mother's Day in 1995, and was buried on Mother's Day.

Anyhow, everyone try to enjoy the day.
