Happy New Year... and an announcement

Well, 2006 was eventful... for me anyway...

As you know, I've not been posting art for about 5-6 months now, and that's down to several reasons. I've got a part-time job, making my band as good as possible, and most of all, I have been spending a lot of time with friends, so my social life is constant and regular now. Spending time in front of the computer for hours on end, doing art, web pages, and just browsing the net, is something I no longer do now. I even had a girlfriend around that time period, though that ended rather acrimoniously after 5 weeks. With all these reasons still around and likely to carry on through this year and beyond, I am now considering myself semi-retired from the community in terms of being an artist. Which is OK really, 'cos I think many people here have forgotten who I am. Still, I'll post the occasional pic, and the website will still remain.

It's not all bad news. I've got a new pic to show you lot. It features 5 tickle artists I know: Panda Jenn (Deviant Art), Velly (TMF), Nessonite (TT), Ta-Shi (Deviant Art), and Khali. Bear in mind these were the artists I knew when I started drawing this. Enjoy it, because this'll probably be the only picture you'll see from me in a while...

Dude, I haven't forgotten who you are. I still remember one of your first pics that is still one of my favorites. It's the burnette in the stocks with blue jeans, hand drawn. Well, good luck with what you are doing and the pic you posted is awesome. You are one of my favorite artists.

I realize that this has no merit coming from someone you don't know, but while I'm not a frequent poster, I've hung around for a while and...well, I've become accustomed to seeing a lot of 'familiar faces', if that makes any sense. It's good to hear that things are going well for you, though, so it's hardly fair to give you the 'Don't leave us hanging!' speech out of no where XD Take 'er easy Chimp, and I'll be looking forward to seeing your artwork in the future whenever you have the spare time.

Thanks for the words of support. Because I have a few requests that need to be done, I'll be committing myself to drawing these soon. Usually, the first 6 months of any year is when at my most productive, so it's likely you'll see these finished within this timeframe. After that, other things take over.

Hopefully I'll have enough time to complete them all, but after that, I will not be accepting any more requests from anyone, unless you want it commissioned (and by the way I have never received or asked for any money for my art so far). Any art I post from after I finish the requests will be ones I want to do.

Dear Sir Chimp...

I remember way back in the day when, over @ TMF, you, Cheshire Cat and kahoshiden, amongst other 'artist elite', would draw and exhange pics of situations: one particular time I remember was when kahoshiden broke his arm and both u and Cheshire drew get well pics for him. (Cheshire's was Kali in the hospital bed next to kahoshiden's) At the time I visited TMF, you were going through the series of pics where you drew B and Kaysie primarily.

Sir Chimp you are amongst the artist elite, both here and @ TMF, and you will be missed but never forgotten. Good luck with whatever life throws at you 🙂
