On a side note their was battalion of Irish Americans that deserted during the Mexican American war and decided to fight on the side of Mexico. This battilion was Batallon San Particio.

I am 1/4 Irish, my last name is pretty authentic and my hair is red. I celebrated St Patty's day quite traditionally last night and I had one heck of a time!

I find a lot of redhead ladies are ticklish. I wonder if that is why I like redheads or wherther its just an inclination of my Irish roots.

PS - Do you know why Scotch and Irish are sometimes redheaded? The Vikings left a few reminders when they visited Irish shores.

Brookie...every red headed woman I have ever met has also been ticklish. It's kinda weird. It seems like red headed people have more sensative skin or something...and they are usually more lighter in skin tone. Who knows??? Just an observation from my experiences.
