Has anyone ever applied for a grant?

Has anyone ever used these resources or applied for a grant before? Any success? And thoughts? Anyone? 🙂

While I haven't personoally tried these books, I know someone who has. Their review was that it was all stuff you can find on the internet with a good search engine. So, that may save you a few bucks if you're willing to do some exploring.

Another avenue to explore would be contacting banks and stuff. When I was getting set to do my medical training, one of the banks had a fund set up by someone specificly for those looking at the medical field. I was told that many banks have private funds like that to be used for specific purposes. Depending on what you're looking to do, you may get somewhere.

I just thought those books (the average price is about 30 bucks) had tips on how to write the proposals and such. If anyone else has any experience with this, please let me know!
