I was watching television the other day and noticed that FOX is coming out with another one of those Swan series. This may be me but I am kind of disgusted with absolutely transforming yourself. Now don't get me wrong, I have no trouble with one or two things to make yourself feel better, for instance Queen Latifah got a breast reduction and looks substantially better. What I have a problem with is someone going in and getting a facelift, botox, teeth enhancements, lipo suction, extreme tanning, and removing stretch marks much like in The Swan. What really disturbs me is that most of the women that go on this show not only don't look horrible, but most of them have families. If you are loved by people, I don't think it should matter what your thighs or belly look like to make yourself feel good. Well I'm off my soapbox. What are your guys' opinion on the matter, have we gone too far? Thanks for your time.

IF it is a health issue...you do what you have to do, male or female.
HOWever if it is just a matter of cosmetics and vanity......then yes, it has gone WAY too far.

Simple as that.

As long as this society puts a premium on a personal appearance that more or less resembles that of Pamela Anderson, you're gonna find women who won't withhold a single penny to improve themselves in the most cosmetically shallow ways, even though the very best most will ever do is more or less resemble some waitress on the 11-7 overnight shift in any New Jersey diner.

However, if Candy Crowley could appear on CNN all these years, there's hope for the woman who's not willing to play by these rules.

finally someone with brains! Let me tell you something. Back in April this year, I fell at work, leaving a gash over my eye, right on the eyelid. I ended up having to get surgery to repair it..not cool. well anyways, i looked at a girl..who was about 19-20..my age..and i couldnt see a thing that was wrong with her. She was beautiful, i told her that..yet she still was getting cosmo surgery on her face. I was shocked. I mean, yeah its gone way to far in the way to make ppl look better..but for health its fine
