Have you rtastes/prefferences been narrowed over time?

So, I fond myself buying less and less videos and I couldn't understand why. There are 100 producers out there now, and occasionally they'll put out some good stuff. I'm NOT complaining about the actual quality or quantity of videos. I guess my tastes have been so narrowed over the years, that I only find interest in certain kinds of tickling. Before, I could watch anything that had ticking in it and even if the Lee did a good job selling it, I was happy. Its gotten to the point where I only prefer F/F videos, of bare feet, with extreme, or very stable, bondage, with people who I can tell are truly ticklish. One ounce of faking and I turn it off. Not only that, but I've become accustomed to certain producers that I will only entertain video purchases from a select few.

It's actually kinda sad. I'm wondering if this is the beginning of the "tailing off" process of my fetish...as I call it. Hmm. Just food for thought....

Maybe not "narrowed" but evolved. At one time, content was so scarce I'd look at anything. As more stuff is available and as I've aged I now prefer images/videos that seem to depict "real" women in plausible bondage and scenes. I appreciate the work and effort that goes into some of the more elaborate stuff, but I don't have a "humbler" or "humiliator" or even wooden stocks in my house. I can see why that appeals to many, but I like things that look like they could happen to me with my wife (or her sisters or friends.) This includes "real" feet, not ones that are so smooth that they don't look real, or they look too young.

There's also the supply and demand thing. Yes, I use to buy more videos in the begining, and then I started having my own sessions, speeding up the spending process on models, (hot hobby while it lasted), but once getting use to it, I didn't need to rely on videos so much anymore. The desires are still there, don't get me wrong, but I don't have to spend money on buying videos.

Yeah, I think that those of us who were around during the days of absolutely no foot tickling media, and who had to content themselves with swim suit models, etc in magazines went through a common evolution. Shortly after buying my first computer, I heard a discussion on TV that every type of porn, fetish stuff, etc. could be found on the web. Out of curiosity I immediately got up and entered something like 'girls bare feet' in my search engine. I was stunned that my heart's sexual desire was plentiful on the web. I started with still images of bare feet and went nuts at this revelation. Over time, foot tickling images became available, and finally foot tickling videos, TMF, Clips4sale, etc, etc. I couldn't believe my eyes the first time I saw a foot tickling clip. It was from the old Feetonline store. I went crazy. All of my fantasies were available through my own computer. I hungrily devoured every foot tickling clip I could find. But, over time after you have seen countless foot tickling clips, you become desensitized and it takes ever more provocative clips (prettier girls, sexier feet, great tickling techniques, reactive toes, etc) to get you off, so you don't bother with lots of clips that once got you off when you first made the discovery. Now, I only buy those clips that fit my current rather narrow foot tickling paradigm.

I don’t think it necessarily augurs a ‘tailing off’ of your interests, but as fecil says there’s inevitably an ‘evolution’ of your tastes over time, particularly when there’s so much material out there.

Personally, I’ve experienced both an increased specialisation in my preferences, but a simultaneous proliferation or expansion. Like many other ‘older’ people on here (I’m 41) I was absolutely amazed to find anything about feet and tickling on the net when I started out. So it’s not just me! Then, as ever more pictures and videos became available (and as I had my own experiences in ‘real’ life) I started to become more selective. So, for instance, I went from liking feet in general to preferring feet in nylon, then particular types of nylon (sheer, RHT) and my tastes in tickling styles and situations underwent a similar process. Like you, I favour real tickling and ticklishness over faked scenarios, and tight bondage. I’m more selective because I can be.

At the same time, though, this seemed to stimulate me into being more open to other things which connected or resonated with those interests. While I appreciated certain specific images more intensely, I actually became less fixated on them. I would speculate that this is because when you become more open to your desires, and less repressed, you actually develop a relationship of greater openness to everything else that’s out there in the world. So I think it’s probably a good thing that you’re being more selective and thoughtful, it always depresses me when people are blithely insensitive to nuances and subtlety. Just go with it, and remain alert to the other places it can take you.

Ah, and I just read Myriads' monograph on fetishes: 'Another alternative is to understand that many paraphilia are not as limited as one may think and hide other aspects that can be enjoyed. For example, many people into tickling, are more correctly into causing a loss of control in their subject. This opens up orgasm control, and other things as possible outlets, and a wider sexual plate to choose from.' I think that very much sums up what I was trying to get at.

I have found the more I play in real life the less I even care about watching clips. Why waste money on a clip when I can get some action in real life. I use to be able to watch them during periods I had no partners to fill the void, but then after awhile they would just make me sad and frustrated. Most clips out there don't really carter to my taste. Like I've said before if Kink.com had a tickling section I'd join it real quick. The only producer I really much buy from anymore is TickleChicks. They have some fairly intense tickle torture clips.
