Have you run into an acquaintance at NEST or other tickling gatherings?

Has anyone who has gone to NEST or other tickling gatherings seen a relative or an acquaintance in attendance?

I have known families - my sister-in-law's, for example - where all or most were ticklers. Have you attended a tickling gathering and found yourself face to face with a brother or sister you did not know was coming, even if his or her presence did not surprise you?

Or have you run into an old friend or acquaintance? I have yet to attend NEST (I live in New Jersey) but were I to finally make it this year, I can think of many people I've known who just might be there.

I haven't run into any at a gathering...yet. But, I have at least one cousin who's online with a TK profile. Others are likely around as well. I'd be totally dead if they ran into me at a gathering. They know all my spots! They used to all tickle the shit out of me when we were younger and still love to poke back and forth a lot. Drew actually got to see a couple of them in action back in Nov. when we were all together for my grandfather's funeral.

I've been to NEST every year since 2003, and to various gatherings in Albany, Connecticut, and Los Angeles. I've never run into a relative, friend, coworker, or acquaintance (except my friends from the TMF, of course).

Running into people I know at a gathering has never really been one of my worries. I did worry, for a time, about friends and family members finding out about my “interest” via my ex-husband and then the internet. I kind of figure that if they were into it enough to attend a gathering… then its all bonding and stuff from there.

Oh, I am just waiting to bump into someone I know that is NOT from the tickling community.
It's funny. When I lived in New York City (My hometown), I would have to literally drag a friend of mine to a fetish club. Once there, he would be so scared of seeing someone he knew at the club.
I would tell him, "Stupid. They won't say anything to anyone that you were here. Because what are THEY doing here?"

I ran into a gentleman (I'll withhold his name to protect his privacy) at the GLAT gathering years ago. As we started talking we realized that we both had worked at the same company at the same time a few years previously. The company had about 600 employees and our offices were miles apart, so we never knew each other at the time, however we did know a lot of the same people. It was fun to talk about those co-workers that we both knew and wonder what they would think if they knew what kinky fetish we were into!

On a slightly different type of coincidence....

Many years ago, long before TMF and most of the Internet sites, I placed an ad in a local alternative newspaper in the personals section looking for a ticklish woman for a date. I received a reply from a woman that totally shared my feelings about tickling. As we talk about ourselves she told me where she lived and it happened to be one block from my work! I had drove by her house everyday for years and never knew that a woman with more tickling magazines than I had lived there! lol We had probably seen each other at some point but never had a clue about our shared interest. Makes me wonder what other women I've met in my life that had a tickling fetish that I didn't discover.

By the way, she is a member of TMF but I'll keep her identity secret as well. ;-)

Agreed Ayla...if they are there then KEWL!!! This does remind me of an incident that happend when I had the Old HotelTickle website with my partner Sexi-Mexi at the time. She went into a 7-11 one night and the girl behind the counter looked at her for the longest time...then out of nowhere she asked "aren't you the girl from the HotelTickle website?" She bought her smokes and said "why yes I am!" and the clerk went "Cool."

I guess stuff like that happens sometimes 🙂

While it seems people have met friends/colleagues at tickling gatherings, so far no one has said they've run into a relative. Imagine seeing the older brother or sister who tickle-tortured you throughout childhood at NEST or some such meet-up!
