This doesn't have ANYTHING to do with age. It depends on how the person who has the fetish deals with it. A guy who is charming, attractive, confident and knows how to treat others is never creepy, it doesn't matter how old he is.

I hate age discrimination. Comments like "I prefer to tickle mature women instead of the younger crowd" really get under my skin. Firstly, the age limit here at the TMF is 18 or older, so it REALLY bothers me when people make the insinuation that because I'm not 30+ that I'm "immature", and that tickling me wouldn't be as good as tickling someone past their prime. I'm in no way, shape or form against the opinion to be for the tickling of older people, but I do not like it when the implication is made that I'm immature because I'm not past my prime. I'm an adult, legally, so ... why is it that it appears that I'm being discriminated due to my age?

As much as we like to carp on how age is only a number, experience counts, and it's the confidence, etc. of the person involved, I'm sure the average 20something gal here wouldn't give the time of day to a man thrice her age were he to express romantic intentions. I see tons of posts on dating sites from women in that age group throwing fits because men "old enough to be my father" are interested in them.

Sure, some people don't have a big hangup about age, but enough people do that's a concern.

I have been fortunate in my NEST visits (2010 included) to have been able to play with women younger than myself, and those experiences have been very rewarding for us both. That said, however, I guess each individual is entitled to decide for themselves whom they want to play with, and if their decision is based on age, I believe that is their right, even though I like to believe that they could be missing out on some fun, especially at a tickle gathering. i don't think having fetishes as you get older is creepy at all. as you mature, you learn more about who you are and what you like. as you gain more confidence in who you are, you're less likely to care about what others think of you. you might want to be discreet about how you broadcast your interests because of your career but that has nothing to do with acting on your desires and interests.

i guess you can be someone who gets stuck in their ways and becomes a fuddy-duddy or you can be someone who keeps exploring and experiencing life. i choose the latter.

In my opinion, 45 isn't old these days.

I agree with this sentiment.........but to answer the question, I think it all depends on how one approaches the situation. If you seem like an individual who goes around asking girls to tickle them all day, then response won't be favorable. If they can tell you're a down to Earth regular individual, and oh, you happen to be interested in tickling, you'll have better results. It's all in your approach.......and please whatever you do at any age, avoid the word fetish unless it's something the ladies like (ie shopping fetish, chocolate fetish, etc).

Regarding NEST, the only reason for not going might be that you don't want friends and family to know where you're going and why. In my case, they don't know, and don't need to know. But I've never found NEST to be intimidating. I don't know if this is anywhere near your "secret" reason for not going, but, that's none of my business anyway.

As far as trusting a tickler, I'm pleased that you have found a few TMFrs that you would trust to tickle you IF you met them in person and got to know them for a "while". Sounds good, except that this would limit your choices to people local to you whom you could see often and get to know. I've not found that to be easy, which is why I think NEST is so great.........you meet a lot of great people who have the same interest, in a safe environment. Remember, this is tickling, not (necessarily) marriage, that we are talking about.

Finally, regarding PMs, that really is the BEST way to become "familiar with" people because we are more free with personal issues in a private conversation than in this forum here where things can be read by anyone.
