holy moley an update!

included within this one however i have posted a pic entitled "suggestions" [both coloured and non] which has an accompanying poll in group.
[this concludes on 15th september]

Also, i don't know if this is the case with any other of the artists here, but i am almost never satisfied with what i do. harsh as it sounds i tend to always look at what is wrong rather than what is right.
This is the reason behind all of my older work being confined to a zip and the revised versions of older stuff [incidentally if anyone has a particular favourite they want redoing just ask].

anyyyway, i be off to colour the revised plant tkl pic.

Nice update! Love the new plant pic... but I think you're too hard on your older work! The original plant pic was great, too. It's true your latest pics have a smoother line and a more developed sense of space, but your old pics had wonderful detailing.

I voted in the poll, too -- don't give up your great plant/monster themes! You do them so well! 😀

And as for never being satisfied with your work, that's a good thing. It drives you be even better. Sure, I'm pretty well-known on this medium, but I'm never satisfied with my work. That's a mark of a true artist: You're never satisfied and always seeking improvement.

That coloured plant pic is SERIOUSLY terrific! I LOVE the way you set it in the realistic background... it almost looks real! Great work!

And yes, the suggestions pic does look quite nice as is! 🙂

Excellent job! I agree with Owen, it looks so realistic! And, as to the not appreciating their own work, you have NO idea how often I hear that from the other artists and even the writers around here. You are most definitely not alone.😀

Lovely! I love all three of them, though Critterlord's snake is my favorite. However, I must confess that I am a bit disappointed that the poll winner was a feather. So... conventional. Still, you undeniably draw a good feather. 😀

While we're at it, I do have a suggestion for the future. Have you ever considered doing a sort of comic, a series of smaller pics telling a story? Many of your best pics have girl hikers nabbed and tickled by plants. How about a few images together, showing the girl walking through the woods, snared by the plant, shoes and socks removed, and tickled, step by step? (Or better yet, shoes off, then tickled on socked feet, then socks off!)

Just a thought.

(Your Monsters Inc. story is sketched, btw, and should be my next story post, whenever that comes.)

I LOVE IT!!! The snake picture is so cool!!! I am amazed that I inspired such a neat new drawing. For some unknown reason, I have always loved snakes tickling girls. Go figure.

Once again, rocking picture. Your artwork continues to astound me.
