Hi I have a concept for the story series I am writing involving heartbeat monitors, specifically the kind used by runners etc. I know roughly what I want to occur although this is likely to change slightly as the story progresses. Essentially the tickle victim must keep their heartbeat below a certain BPM in order not to suffer further tickling/ consequences. What I am sure of is what would be a good number to trip the alarm as it were.
A normal/ resting heartbeat is 60 to 100 BPM (beats per minute). This would be lower for an Athlete.... like Zoe ;-) I'm not sure how much of an increase gentle/ moderate tickling is likely to increase this and thought I would ask you all in case there are any tickle-fans with a personal knowledge of such devices 🙂
