Help! Need good wrist restraints for escape artist lee.

My super ticklish girl friend has very small and flexible hands. No matter how tight I tie a rope around her wrist, she escape. Even if put in traditional handcuffs, if they are not locked painfully tight, she can often escape. If locked tight enough, she can't get out of them, but they are very uncomfortable.

I'm looking for recommendations on wrist restraints that are both secure and comfortable (and affordable). I was thinking thatthese sounded good, but I wouldn't know (her and I are both kind of new to this), and I wanted some opinions first.

Hi gadren. Leather restraints are much more comfortable than traditional handcuffs and would be much more suitable because you can adjust them to fit any wrist size. The way that most leather cuffs and nylon cuffs are made, they are kinda easy to get out of unless you have someone who is truly just that into it. (This is just in my experience mind you.)

I am aware that there is a certain learning curve to safely using rope, but I find it much more effective. I am going to do the best I can here describing a safe knot that I use frequently:

1) Fold the rope in half.
2) Take the loose end of the rope through the loop that was created and tighten it down to your partner's wrist (this is commonly referred to as a lark's head).
3) Place 2 of your fingers between the rope and your partner's skin. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. Not only will it help here in a couple steps, but it also reduces the chance of cut off circulation enabling you to have longer scenes.
4) Begin wrapping the rope around your partner's wrist, 2 or 3 times is effective enough, anything more is just for appearance.
5)Feed the next part that would be wrapped under the coils that were around the wrist. This creates a loop on the other side.
6) Feed the loose end of the rope through this loop and pull tight.

What you should know have is a well formed restraint that won't slip off but also won't cut off circulation. If I had a video camera, I would demonstrate for you, but I don't. There are a thousand ways to do this and I'm sure someone else's may be better or easier, this is just they way that I like to do it.

If she cringes at that....medical tape or bondage tape have the same effect without removing layers of skin upon removal! Unless you're into that sort of thing!

I like to wrap a plastic bag (grocery store or trash bag) over the area first before applying the duct tape. This helps from damaging skin, clothing, etc.

I have never had any issues with the leather restraints. I can't speak for other companies that sell them of course but the ones that I have first hand experience with have always been very secure and have been tested on many lee's. Bondage tape works well also and won't hurt your partner at all when you remove it because it doesn't stick to the skin in the same way that duct tape does. It works by sticking to its self so if you wrap it round her wrists a few times it will be just as secure as duct tape but won't cause any pain on removal.

Two questions, before I try to give advice.

1) How much experience/training do you have with rope bondage?

2) Ask her to bring all the fingers of one hand together in a point, to make her hand as small as possible. When she does that, is her wrist still narrower than her hand?
