I was hoping that someone knowlegeable in newsgroups could help a newb out... I can't figure out how to post on this particular newsgroup (alt.binaries.emulators.nintendo-64) and I keep getting this error:

440 posting not allowed

is this just because I have to be given some kind of permission to post, or am I just doing something wrong? I am using Xnews as my reader...

NOTE: this is the first time I've ever tried to post to a newsgroup and clearly have no clue what I'm doing
