uumm... i got just 1 question...
why do u post the same pic in original artwork AND anime media?

i mean it's one or the other, right? if it's original artwork, then it's not anime... and if it's anime then it's not original artwork.

that's just a thought.

btw, rajee, it semms you pop out with 1 or 2 pics a day, how do you make them so fast?

Let me explain...

😀 For the first question, I consider my new submissions to be anime and western cartoon style mix. There is no absolute category for my art. Secondly, there are some members that only submit and reply as well as view in Anime while others view, submit and reply in original artwork. I am trying to show my art work to any and all artists in TMF. Master Cartman, you are a duo-forum viewer so that made me double fortunate.
For the second inquiry, 😛 🙂 😱 I have a lot of free time on my hands currently while I am in the process to search for a job in a library. Unions🙄 😛
😀

oh, ok, i see now.

lol, i have loads of time too, but i can't draw if my life depended on it.🙄 i'd love to draw, but my artwork makes a 6-year-old's drawings look like picaso.🙁 oh well, i can just stick to writing stories.😉

😀 It takes practice. I would suggest start with stick figures and build shapes over top of them to start. 😀

geez, give the man a brake, shock!

he trys his best and thats what i like about his artwork. if u got any beef about his work SHUT UP! i'd like to see u do better! he puts his blood, sweat, and tears, in his work so the whole community benefits. not everyone can be as good as chimp, chesire, etc. shoot, he draws even better than me, and he'll keep drawing, because he's got purpose, HE'S A VOLUNTEER! so if u gotta whine, whine to someone who gives a crap.

"Do you know who's gonna win this war? Volunteers. Nothing is stronger as the heart of a volunteer." - Cpt. Doolittle, Pearl Harbor.

keep up the good work, rajee.

I think I know how...

/wipes tear from eye

Everyone is allowed an opinion and I am inclined to agree.

I'll probably come off sounding like an ass, but I agree with shock to an extent, though I won't put it as bluntly.

It's true that rajee makes a huge contribution to the tickling community. He posts picture on a regular basis. But the only real problem I have is that he isn't largely improving, as far as his art skills are improving. His colouring is quite rough and unrefined, and whilst I understand these skills take time to develop, it is perhaps a bit over ambituous to make claims like you've "perfected the anime face" and such.

Having said this, generally on this forum, as much as I hate to say it, is that as far as art is concerned, criticism, constructive or negative, isn't thrown around. I know I shouldn't take these pictures for granted, but just saying everything's great sometimes isn't the best option.

My Rebuttal

🙂 I respect everyone's opinion who casts it about my submissions. 😀 I can tell you that I have made some improvement in my drawing ability because this thread's cartoon and the most recent submission thread's cartoon are alot better than my first attempt at an Anime head and body. 😀 I plan to keep on submitting my cartoons. 😀 😛 For those who think it is annoying or anything else negative I have three words of advice: SKIP OVER IT!🙄 I draw and submit my cartoons for myself and those members who appreciate and like my cartoons. 🙂 😀 😎 😛 😉 😀
Look forward for 1 or 2 new submissions today as well. 😀 😛

Man... that is a true statement.

😀 I'll take that as a compliment. 😛

hey, sorry i snapped

but i geuss shock was being a little too blunt. rajee has been getting better, i've noticed brighter colours among other things. if anything rajee is excellent at mixing artwork with anime, he's in a category of his own. keep up the good work man.

It looks good to me, thank you for posting. I like the tears😀

1) There is nothing "anime" about any of your pictures. The anime style is defined by an unusually well-defined sense of anatomy and perspective, use of varying line thickness, solid, layered shading, a technique of "masking" by overlaying less-detailed characters over higly detailed backgrounds to create a feeling of associatino with the character, as well as a certain type of stylized face where essential features are enhanced, and less important features are reduced. Your artwork exemplifies NONE of these, excepting that you draw your eyes too big, which is simply the most ameteurish way to make something look "anime".

2) You don't know your anatomy, at all, nor do you do anything creative with composition. You draw a person (poorly) sitting down, feet towards the viewer, over and over again, with what is obviously an attempt at another person standing beside them. This person is holding feathers, which are in the general vicinity of the other person's feet. One is laughing, the other looks evil.

3) You embody the phrase, "Quantity over Quality". You should start putting all your pics in one group, so that people who like them can go there, and stop spamming us with "person tickled" "co-ed tickled" and so on, in TWO forums at once.

As one artist to another, Artistic "works" are called "works" for a reason: you should put effort into them. Do some work, study some anatomy, and for chrissakes at least take a new look at your composition, and THEN post some more stuff. And STOP alling your work "anime". It is not anime. It is not an anime/western hybrid. It is poorly drawn people with large eyes. I don't feel bad about saying this, produce something innovative and well-crafted, and i will personally retract everything i just said.

I happen to be somewhat of an authority on art. In my ever so humble opinion, Rajee's art is superb.
Stop complaining and learn to appreciate it..or you could always choose not to view it!

To all the ranters in my threads

 A word to the wise: Rants and unconstructive criticism will just make me post more of the stuff you all hate. You are just feeding the fire within me.  :ranty:
To those who support my cartoons and give me constructive advice, I say THANK YOU and I will continue showing my cartoon brainstorms.
😀

you really have no clue what you're talking about rajee.

venger, gave you a lot of constructive criticism!

I try my best to skip over your threads but occasionally I accidently wander in (which is why I'm posting here now)

:sowrong: :Grrr: :idunno: :disgust: Here's the thing: I perceived Venger as pointing out all the things I am doing wrong in his mind with none to little advice on how I can improve drawing Anime cartoons. 😕 He pointed out how my people are boringly positioned and that my anatomy is all wrong. Yet, I saw no advice on how to draw better anime bodies or different positions a beginner like myself can try to put them in. :idunno: He said I am doing an amateurish job on the faces, 🙄 ,duh, I am a beginner. How about some pointers. 😛
Lastly, Unless Myriads or one of the Artwork moderators tell me to stop posting in both forums, I will free free to do so since this is an open website to anyone and responsible members are welcome to post in any forum. 😀 🙂

Advice? ok. First, atart drawing the actual human figure, from real people. I'm not saying you need to find nude models or anything, but draw people who are sitting around at a bus stop or in a park or standing around in a line or something.
Go by Barnes and Noble or Amazon and pick up an anatomy book. Pretty much any anatomy book will do, but if you just want something light that covers the basics of proportion and muscle groups and such, Chris Hart's Human Anatomy Made Amazingy Easy is a great one, and its small enough to carry around with you when you need to check stuff out (which i do myself, with this very book). Online, check out www.Bakaneko.com and www.Howtodrawmanga.com for anime-style anatomy tutorials.
If you're looking for advice on composition, try either Chris Hart's "Manga Mania" or "Anime Mania". Also, for drawing dynamic characters in settings, "How to Draw Anime and Game Characters: Vol.2" is an awesome book, as it focuses entirely on using your characcters to express emotions.
It would also behoove you to pick up a book on perspecive and archetectural drawing, so that your backgrounds actually look like... well... backgrounds.
TO make your characters more "anime", there are a couple keys. First, the IRISES and PUPILS of the eyes should be enlarged signifigantly, though the size of the actual eye socket can vary. For two completely divergent views on how to draw different anime eyes, try www.megatokyo.com , and note how the size of the eyes change due to gender and emotion. Both of the tutorial sites i linked earier also have subsections on eyes. For the hair, follow the natural contours of hair, only exadggerate the thickness, and clump it into spikes or long strands... sorta. It's tough to explain in words. The best way is to look at pics by different manga and anime artists. If you want to see the two extremes, do a Google Images search for "Chii" and another for "Ryoko". Again, look at the tutorial sites i showed you, to get the general idea, and add your own flair to it.
If you want good examples of "western/anime inspired" work, try www.machall.com or www.angelmoxie.com , and then pretty much any comics those sites link you to.
There are some "pointers" for ya, hope they help :happyfloa

: D

😀 Now was that so hard. Thanks for the info. I will incorporate it into my cartoons. 😀

>shock was being a little too blunt.

I'm sorry about that. Keep it up, Rajee.
