Who can not wait until Sunday to finally see the Steelers get that elusive one for the thumb!? I am in eastern pa, which is unfortunately eagles territory, but i wear my black and gold with more pride than any of the badwagonning, bitching eagles fans. I'm pounding my iron city beer and getting fired up to see the Steelers dominate those seagulls!!! PITTSBURGHS GONNA WIN THE SUPER BOWL!!!

Don't feel bad I'm from Cleveland and I hope the Steelers romp. I use to be a steelworker and I'd love a fellow blue collar town and a fellow AFC North team to take it!!!!!!! :veryhappy :veryhappy :veryhappy

Since they beat the Colts I'm gonna hafta back the Steelers.

You act like the seahawks are a bunch of push overs. If i'm not mistaken the seahawks have more players on thier team that have super bowl rings and super bowl apperences then the steelers do combined. And keep in mind theses are new and present teams so all the old teams of steelers past and seahawks past GO ALL OUT THE WINDOW.

Let super bowl sunday begin.

Yeah ok, but how many of those appearances were with the seahawks? The NFC is a soft conference. Wow they blew out one dimensional panther team and a redskin team with absolutely no offense. The panthers were down to their 4th string running back so of course the seahawks are gonna triple cover the only good reciever the panthers have. The Steelers took out the top 3 seeds on the road and were dominate in all the performances.

Facts and past games in the playoffs mean NOTHING in sports. All that matters is what comes down on sunday of the big game. You can win by how ever many touchdowns you want to and have the greatest players in the world on your team. But again it comes down to game day NOT about stats and seeds and bla bla bla.

WOW way to completely contradict yourself in just two posts. The first one is going on about how the seahawks have more players with super bowl experience and the next is how the past is not a factor. so which is it?

Just dont forget that Holmgren has a far better football mind than Cowher. Now dont get me wrong Cowher is a very good coach and his players play hard for him but Holmgren is a genius pure and simple, look how Bret Farve turned into an interception machine when he left Green Bay. With that said im picking the Seahawks to have a defensive scheme to make the evening miserable for Big Ben and his overconfident Steelers. :couch:

Defensive scheme are the two key words Sacrifice. You have given Dick Lebeau two weeks to come up with a scheme to befuddle Hasselback and the Seahawks. I like Pittsburgh's chances. I also think how the Colts were no pushover and look what happened. I would have agreed with you in the past about Cowher but this year for some reason he has shed a lot of his off the wall thinking. Maybe he is using his coordinators more? Everyone thought Joe Paterno was washed up and look what Penn State did. Don't underestimate Cowher whether anyone wants to believe it or not this game is Pittsburgh's to win or lose. They play the way they have and we celebrate a Super Bowl. Why did Bret Favre throw all those int's? Look at his supporting cast he had around him. Holmgren is a great coach but when feel you have to do it on your own you see the results. I personally am looking forward to the game and can't wait. It looks to be shaping up to be a good Super Bowl. The only bad thing is for a game that is being played in Motown and such a big music city why you don't have a Motown act as your main headliner for halftime is beyond me. But that is a topic for another thread.

True. As a native Detroiter, I'm disappointed that there is no Motown representation at the Big Game; from Aretha Franklin and Bob Seger to Eminem and Kid Rock. And others as well.

I'm not sure who I'll root for. I just want a close game.
