granted, i do not like the Raiders and hope they go 2-14 every year. however, even i am baffled by Al Davis' choice in the new Head Coach. LANE KIFFIN??????????? this guy has NO Head Coaching experience ANYWHERE!! he was the offensive coordinator at USC but we all know NORM CHOW was the genius of that school.

how is he going to command the respect of the veterans? Randy Moss and Warren Sapp are going to chew this guy up.

oh well Raider fans, you get to look forward to more misery....Lane Kiffin? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! this guy was getting criticized as a playcaller at USC and he is going to run a NFL team? oh man, this is going to be interesting....

Al called me last week and offered me the job, since I'm one of the last people here in the Western Hemisphere he hadn't contacted yet. I turned him down. The option of hiring my own coaching staff to assist me wasn't on the table

And dont forget in true Randy Moss fashion, Kiffin called him up and wanted to talk about how he looked foward to working with him over the season and (I'll try and say this with a straight face knowing how a phone call between Owens and Phillips went) he pretty much hung the phone up on him in the poor guy's face if memory serves me correctly.

These are the Oakland Raiders (sadly enough) and this year and the next they are offically on the clock.

Randy Moss is an athlete who has got to be one of the laziest around. the difference between him and T.O. is Randy doesnt open his mouth and Terrell actually does work hard.

The Raiders are a complete mess and i am enjoying each and every moment of it. i bet they wont take a quarterback 1st and they will probably waste it on a kicker. hahahahahahahahaha..

R.I.P. Raiders....that's what you get for leaving Los Angeles like a thief in the night.

Prime, this may shock you but we actually agree on something, Randy Moss is the perfect example of wasted talent and over developed sense of entitlement. This guy actually thinks he can do what ever he wants when ever he wants because the NFL needs him and he doesnt need the NFL.

Why would the Raiders take a quaterback like Brady Quinn or Troy Smith or any other of the top name QBs in the draft? So Moss could throw them under the bus? So Moss can go out and half ass his routes because "he doesnt feel like it" and "he's not happy" and make him look like a flat out bust?

Is there any fixing the mess that Oakland's in, or is this what it's gonna be for a very long time?

I will tell ya....those are the last 4 seasons for the 49ers, last time they had a winning season was 02 ah same time the Raiders did.

New young coach - these things happen; Gruden, Madden, Shanahan are just a few names to come to mind coming into a similar situation in Oakland.

and bout Kiffin...I didn't hear any complaints when he was coaching USC and running their top offense...I love when people bring up that 4th&1 call taking Bush out...lets break this down a bit who would you play? a 5'11 200 pound back in Reggie Bush or another 1000 yard between the tackles short yardage back; 6'1 240 pounds in LenDale White? (I will bring up no one is criticising the coaching additions Kiffin is surrounding himself with)

There is always going to be Raider haters and thats cool - I love that fact - just makes the victory more sweet when we get back and its only a matter of when as well. Our D will only get better and with a few pieces on offense we will be there - don't worry about it...

german, yeah, those were pretty bad numbers for the 49ers, but we are on the upswing. the Raiders are a complete mess and there is no ray of sunshine. actually, their defense is pretty solid, but offensively, man, you guys need a LOT of help. at least with the 49ers, as long as Norv Turner stays, we got a shot. too bad he couldnt do nothing in Oakland though....

here's why i give Lane Kiffin NO credit for the success of USC. man, that was NORM CHOW'S offense, with NORM CHOW'S players he ran in the 2005 season. with Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, Dwayne Jarrett, Lendale White and a massive offensive line, that offense was going to work even if it was Snoopy running it. in 2006, notice JD Booty didnt have the same type of success Leinart had when he first got the job, the running game was suspect and the O-line wasnt as good. Kiffin got by from players from Chow. Kiffin is NO offensive guru. i have a jillion USC fans who will agree. go ahead, ask them yourself what they think of Lane Kiffin.

plus Kiffin is not respected as a coach. what has he EVER done? he has no credibility and now he is supposed to run a NFL franchise? the Raiders of all places? Moss already hung up on him, no veteran will really respect him as he never proved himself in the NFL or even the college level. The next few years are going to be dark and dismal for the Raiders. enjoy....

Man come on - who has Moss shown any respect to? and dont kid yourself and say Dennis Green...I am the first to say I has was fucking cheering when we made the trade but he is a cancer; which cost us Porter last season and when he goes I will be happier when we use that pick to grab Brandon Meriweather.

players dont respect him??? ah you must not have read where the team leaders all had a phone conversation with Kiffin giving him there full support (Sapp and Jerry Porter included) also I spoken to USC fans and I am seeing a 50-50 'approval rating' thats coming from Raider fans, Charger fans, San Fran fans, USC fans, UCLA fans, Cal fans, NFL fans, college fans and its all a mix response - only time will tell

regardless bro with the pick we got we will improve in an instant - you can hate the Raiders all you want but you cant deny what a quality RB does to a franchise *cough* San D - S.F (he came form THA U) and thats just in recent years.

as I said I love this smack talking makes the off season go quicker lol bring on the combine and draft.

you are a true Raider fan....man, you guys are going to hell in a handbasket and with the hiring of Lane Kiffin, you'll get there quicker. but you still support your team. you have a better chance with "Tha U" than the Raiders. speaking of which, i always respected the Canes. tremendous talent every year....

Lane Kiffin just doesnt do it with me and from your own statements, it was 50/50 when you surveyed USC fans. there's a LOT of doubt for a guy who never really proved he's good on the collegiate level, let alone the NFL.

we shall see who has a better season german. if the 49ers lose Norv Turner, then we will be bottom feeders just like the Raiders....

Man honestly I don't think he is that good of coach - no doubt Alex Smith has grown from him but the SF success was due to Gore and only Gore, he is a coach that doesn't warrant respect.

and about THA U - I am always suprised that they get the talent they do - even coming from a bad season(s) on and off the field.
