Hey! You Look Just Like...

Some of us here don't have the luxury or technology available to submit photos of ourselves. And I know that every now and then a person will stop you on the street and say, "Hey, you look just like so and so!" Here's a chance to give everyone else a chance to "picture" you. Simply list a few of the people you've been told you resemble...Me? Tommy Chong back in his heyday (nowadays I have shorter hair and just a goatee) and John Stamos (when I'm clean shaven... I think they were trying to be nice. How do you go from Tommy Chong to John Stamos?)

LOL--When I was a kid I got a lot of Sally Field.

A friend of mine had a game at a party once and the question was, "what rock star are you most like?" Because of the wild hair and wacko personality, I guess, almost everyone in the room put me down as STEVEN TYLER 🙄

Nowadays, I get a lot of a "shorter, bustier version" of Jen Connolly. I don't really see it but I guess I could do worse 😛
One of my favorite co-workers and easily the most beautiful "total package" girl in my office, Sharmel, actually went so far as to tape a Vanity Fair cover of her to my monitor with a handwritten note, "Is this you??"

Wow, I'm racking my brain hard and I can't think of anyone I've really been compared to that much. I've also never really had a nickname, other than some wise-ass names that family members came up with 🙄

I did get compared to Al Pacino before, and that's because we probably share some general characterics. Being 100% Italian is the reason for the comparison to Pacino. I probably don't even look like him, except for the dark wavy hair.

I saw a politcian about a year, or so ago making some statements to the press. Someone else in the room said "hey, he looks like you..." I checked it out, and they were right. But I forget the guy's name. If I see him in the news again, I'll add his name to this response.

Tickle Torture Awaits Steph!

I won't stop tickling you until your goose pimples pop!... That's romantic. Anyway, I once worked with a lady who looked exactly like Morgan Fairchild and she'd let you know it. "Hi, my name is Noxema and I look like Morgan Fairchild." Well, not quite like that but she may as well have said it.

In my band days when I had really long hair and sometimes sported a full beard, I was often told I looked like Travis Tritt. I never really saw the resemblance, but, one kinda funny story about it is -- I grew up with Travis' cousin, also named Tritt. There was a group of us, including the cousin, at a restaurant waiting for a table, and when the intercom blasted with "Tritt, party of four, your table is ready", everyone stared at me whispering and pointing. I should have tried to sell autographs for 20 bucks a pop or something.

When I used to have long hair, and facial hair, I've been compared to just about every rock musician, ranging from Kirk Hammet, Slash, Tom Petty, Trent Reznor, John Lennon, Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper, and even Gene Simmons, though that was mostly due to the length of my tongue. 😛 Outside of rock musicians, I was also compared to just about every vampire in Anne Rice's Interview With the Vampire, or the actors that played them.

Nowadays, I think the most flattering comparison I've been given was "Neo", given to me by the Sailors I was working with on ship when I dealt with HAZMAT, in reference to Keanu Reeves from the Matrix. I never really saw the comparison, but they felt that I looked like him, not to mention I was always so serious when I talked to people.

Ok, here's one I completely forgot about. The last time I was in Canada, someone who works at one of the watering holes that I frequent said I looked just like a wrestler named Eddie Guerrara (sp?), and asked me if I was him.

The kicker is I really have no idea who Eddie Guerrara might be, and have no idea if I look anything like him. I doubt I even spelled the name right. If anyone ever heard of a wrestler with a name that sounds like Eddie Guerrara, please clue me in. I'd like to get a look at the guy.

I bet Jim Blast could shed some light on this one.

Me? I look like a cross between my namesake (Mimi, on the Drew Carey show - only with less makeup) and Miss Piggy. Attitude's a spitting image as well.

What I find to be extremely humorous though, is the uncanny resemblence between Lazarus and his brother, and Jay and Silent Bob. Lazzy's younger brother is 22, 6'4'', skinny, and has blonde hair to his ass. He looks exactly like Jay. Lazzy, on the other hand, is 5'11'', has long black hair just past his shoulder blades, a black moustache and goatee, and is muscularly stocky. He is an exact spitting image of Silent Bob (only thinner). Get the two of them together, with their caps backward, sporting their black trenches, and watch the mobs of Jay and Silent Bob fans flock in their direction. A wrestling promoter even came to them once about joining his federation under a Jay and Silent Bob character angle. I've gotta get a pic of them two together in proper pose. It's gotta be seen to be believed...lol

Ok, thanks, Mimi! I figured if the guy was a pro wrestler that someone would've heard of him. I definitely made a mess out of his name, but it was clear enough so you could tell who I was talking about. The last time I followed wrestling, Bob Backlund was Champion. I probably just spelled his name wrong, too!

Anyway, at least from that picture, I really don't think I look like that guy. I think that guy was pulling my leg, asking me if I was Eddie Guerrero. Maybe there's some gen. characterictics that are similiar. But I don't see it. I'll have to get a second opinion...

The politician who I resemble is George Stephanopoulos. I remembered last night it was my mother who pointed out that I look like some politician she saw on the news. So I called her and asked her if she remembered who it was. She said it was George Stephanblehbleh....

But I did look at the guy's picture and I do see a resemblence. In fact, the profile shot on his book "All Too Human" is a striking resemblence. So there it is! I finally put my finger on it!

My Sweet George

(I'm back for one more day, those who know me. The lady's flight was canceled so I'm housesitting until tomorrow!) One Halloween, I got dressed up in a hippy outfit (which is how I dress anyway). I had short hair but I did have a beard. So I put on a long black wig. I went to a party at some club and was about to pay admission. The cashier took the money and handed me my change as he said, "Here you are, Mr. Harrison." That made my day because George Harrison is my favorite of all the Beatles. Hey, Sugarmouse! I've always wanted to tickle Cyndi Lauper. What say you and I get together, etc.etc.etc.

you DO look like Neo! (and there’s just something about an adorable, very serious Neo look-alike, that just screams tickle me 😉 )

I’ve been told that I look like Valerie Bertonelli, Linda Ronstat, Sally Fields and a dark haired Stevie Nicks. lol the Valerie Bertonelli one I heard a lot when I was younger. the Stevie Nicks one more recently, when I let my hair go wild. I’ve been known to dress a little like her too.
