So this High School Football Coach and His Staff in Texas are facing Allegations of Bullying after they Coached their Team to a 91-0 Victory over another School last Friday

Apparently a Parent/Parents of the Opposing Team filed a Complaint.

The Score 56-0 at Halftime. And the Coaches Pulled their Starters in the 3rd Quarter. And tried not to Embarrass the other Team.

Their offense only had a Total of 32 Snaps. And most of the 32 Snaps were Running Plays. The Coach said that His Starting Running back touched the Ball only Six Times, but scored 4 Times.

They finished with 391 Rushing Yards and 8 Touchdowns on the Ground.

If they were just Throwing the entire time, you could say they were running up the Score, but still that should not be Considered Bullying by any means.

What did they expect the Coach to do? Tell his Backups to just Kneel Down Three times and Punt?

And the Team is averaging just under 70 Points a game this Season. Also is Undefeated and Ranked #1 in the State. And the team that they crushed has a Record of (0-7)

I'm interested to see how this Turns Out

What are your thoughts on this?

Imo this isn't bullying by any means, it's just sports.

If the coach took nearly every measure he could to prevent embarrassing the opponent, I see no legal grounds for bullying.

One solution might be to insert a 'forfeit rule' for high school football? If a team is up by 50 or more the game is over at that point? I mean, this is high school. It's not the NFL or college. A loss isn't going to be seen on major television and the students aren't getting paid to be out there. How many HS teams have come back after being down by 50? Just a thought.

It seems like this coach handled this the best he could. I played sports in high school and I've been on the receiving and giving end of blowouts. Maybe nothing like a 91-0 rout, but still. As a member of the losing team I'd feel worse if I knew the other team was going easy and purposely not scoring. That's way more embarrassing. I'd be insulted if the opposition took pity on us

Now, I've also been on the winning side of such blowouts. As a longtime benchwarmer, blowouts were usually one of the few chances we had to play and possibly the only chance we had to prove that we could or couldn't handle game situations. Call me selfish, but as a 16 or 17 year old, when I got put in the game, my main objective was trying to play the game the best I could, not worrying about the feelings of the opposing team. I feel like the coach did the right thing here by taking his starters out and putting in the second and third string guys. And once they are in the game what are they supposed to do? Not score? Not try hard?

It's competition and sometimes you get your ass kicked. The same thing happens in real life, by the way.

A bunch of whiny assed sore losers of parents. Maybe they should be looking in to getting a new coach for their team..

"Oh no. I can't believe my little Billy did not win"

Reportedly the Coach even told his Punt Returners to just Fair Catch the ball, even if they had room to make a Return.

I also played Football in Highschool.

Played mostly Defense and Special Teams. I was 2nd String on Offense and only got in on Offense when we were either Way Ahead, or Down by a lot in the 4th Quarter. Or if there was an Injury.

Regardless what the Score was, if my Number was called, I'm going in there and giving it %100.

And I've been on both ends of a Blowout. Nowhere close to 91-0 though. I think the Biggest Butt Whooping my Team received when I was playing was by 42 Points.

Being on the Receiving End does suck, and it's a Terrible Feeling. But that's part of the Game. The Parents and Players should know that even before they even Sign Up to play.

All your told to do is Give it all you got until the Clock says 0:00.

Now all of a sudden if you're blowing someone out, all of that goes out the Window?
And you're supposed to give the other Team a Chance to Score so they don't fell bad?
