Baseball fans who want a little.. comic relief.. can watch Youtube videos of managers being ejected. Some of the videos are terribly funny.
Of course, I'm a fan of the team that had the manager with the most ejections in history, Bobby Cox. However, I've watched some of Cox's ejections, and even remember some of them myself. While he got ejected a lot, his ejections didn't seem nearly as hilarious as some of the ones I've watched on Youtube.
For example: there is a Youtube clip of Yankees Manager Joe Girardi being ejected last year, in Detroit. Girardi gets in the ump's face, and then gets ejected when the ump starts walking away. Girardi then goes ballistic, slamming his cap on the ground, and motioning to his eyes for the ump,. indicating, I guess that the ump is blind, lol.
Another very funny clip is of Phillies Manager Charlie Manuel being kicked out of a game, also last year. Manuel barks at the ump from the Citizens Bank Park dugout, and then is ejected. Manuel came out of the dugout, got into the ump's face, and the two were going jaw to jaw, screaming at each other.
I believe I was at.. at least.. three games where Cox was ejected. Two in NY at the old Shea Stadium, and one in Philadelphia.
The Giradi clip truly was hilarious.
