historical tickling figure

Does anyone know the correct name and tickling exploits of a historical tickler who I believe used to tickle subjects in his dungeon in jolly oldEngland back in (methinks) in the 19th or 18th centuries? I think his name is (something like) Count Simon de Rumfort (????)

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who knows more about this individual.

I guess you mean Simon de Montfort, the French Inquisitor. Rumour has it that he used tickling as torture, but there's no historical source to prove this, sorry. See also the discussion on 'Historical Tickling: Quest for Evidence' on page 3 of this forum.
