I was just wondering if posts that say "cool clips" or "nice find" or "cute pic" go toward getting your feathers or what....because I'd like to be more than just a registered user, but I just don't have the time to post a response to everything I see here...
 
Yes, they all count, even posts that consist of a single smilie. 😀

Just go to the Humor Forum, and there are many threads in which you can make mindless or automatic posts to increase your total. 😀

I honestly don't see the point. For me it would just be a badge of my internet addiction and I don't need to be reminded of that. 🙁
 
the reason I was wondering was because I was looking at the clips forum one day and the same person was the last respondent to damn near all of the clips and it was "cool find", "great clip", etc.
 
I don't feel bad about it gang--I make lame remarks all the time in real life too.
I think it shows you're capable of expressing your opinion and you're involved in the community. Course that's just me (who I know, talks waaaaaaaaay too much!)😛

I wouldn't be too concerned about ranking. Though there are a handful of folks who enjoy getting a new title every time they turn around, they really don't mean a whole lot. It's just a way to see how much posting folks are doing. Remember, quality is more important than quantity and titles mean nothing.

Post count, schmost count. Folks who contribute to the images/clips forums DO appreciate an acknowledgement of their efforts.
Nothing at all wrong with a 'good find' post.

I think that it really comes down to the folowing: What do you want from TMF?

I post in several threads and my post totals ar steadily climbing. I have a lot of fluff in my posts but I do not post solely for the pleasures of gaining feathers. I post because I feel like I am part of the community. I post because it gives me a chance to interact with several different people who share the love of tickling. I post because it builds friendships.

I believe that you can learn a lot about a person by reading their posts. In some cases, the person will give you direct information about thier likes, dislikes, beliefs... In other cases you can determine if the person has a great sense of humor, is a wonderful flirt, is too serious or not serious at all, if the person likes to rile fellow TMF'ers, etc.

As for the quest for feathers, I admit that I look forward to advancement because I view it as a game. I am not "Addicted" to posting and I could walk away from it if I chose to. (I choose to stay and post because I am looking for more friendships and, hopefully, a few tickling encounters as well.

I think that the feathers add some fun and interest to the posting and build a common thread.

I will now step down from my soap box and yield to the next post.

 
wow...this was just a tongue in cheek at some who post just to to say "cool" or whatever...for apparent no reason ...but it is nice to get some sort of consideration for even just links to post

😛 It was probably me that put those replies for the vidclip section. 😛 I just reply to show gratitude for them putting free clips up or alerting us to their new site with pay clips. I do the same thing in Tickle Theater. 😛 :blaugh:

Last time I ordered a pizza from Pizza Hut, I ended up tossing out the pizza and ate the cardboard box that the pizza came in.

It was that bad, no kidding.
