If you're talking about keeping it private from your parents, that's different. My first recommendation would be to buy DVDs instead of VHS tapes. DVDs are much easier to hide. Besides, VHS is on the way out.

Better still, get your pr0n as digital downloads. Then get some strong encryption software (TrueCrypt is very effective, and free), and keep your video files as encrypted archives. If you use strong crypto then no one short of the NSA will view those files without your permission.

Meh. True in theory, pretty unreliable in practice. What are the odds that someone sniffing around your computer will be able to figure out your password, or find temp files lying around, or even just note that you recently viewed "NAKEDTICKLE.wmv"?

Shared computers are a bad place to keep secrets. What you do depends on what level of risk is okay. For instance, I'd say there's a good chance that someone's going to stumble across something on daddy's (the previous poster) machine. But he's an adult, and it's his computer. So he gets teased a little. In other cases, the consequences could be much worse. (As I post to TMF from work. 😉 But I turn images off, and tend to keep to the P&R forum...it's all about risk management.)
