Hospital, Bad News

I dont have much time. I just stopped by the hotel for a few mins. Great new look to the forum, btw.

My mom was readmitted to St Clares on Saturday with an antibiotic resistant pneumonia. The radiation Dr said this can happen at the end of radiation. Treatment is done, but basically, they let her out too quickly last week, and she got worse. She's in the hospital until further notice.

I'm not sure when I'll be back at the hotel. I miss everyone.

I'll log in again when I visit the hotel, or when they release my mom.

Thanks for all the support I've gotten during this time. I guess I dont have to say, please pray for us. I'm a bit more scared this time than the other times.

I know it antibiotic resistant pneumonia but is any antibiotic working???.

Thanks everyone. I'm back at the hotel for a min, then going back to the hospital.

Mom almost died. It was very scary. Then, thank God, they did tests on her, and they all came back negative. She saw an infectious disease Dr, who said she doesnt even know if it was pneumonia. It might be some unexplained bacteria.

I think we are out of danger, but shes still very weak, and not eating much. they have to give her physical therapy, which shes not tolerating well. Additonally, they have to taper the antibiotic from IV to oral.

I'm not sure when they are releasing her. This time, Dr B is hopefully playing it cautiously. I'm going nucking futs at the hospital. No baseball, no TMF, etc.

I HOPE she will be out by Monday or Tuesday, then, we may be back here to be sure, until the end of the week.

Thanks again for the thoughts and prayers. I hope to be out of the hospital, and back online soon.

I havent checked this thread in a while. Thanks texas, and jager. Mom got out of the hosp last Thursday the 12th, but we are still in NJ. We will be going back to PA on Monday.
