How Can I Save Pictures from a Video?

I just bought a full length video which has some really nice scenes in it that I would like to save as a picture. Is there any way to do this?
 
Is there not a "Video Capture" option on your program somewhere?
Or perhaps pause the vid and maybe you can safe the image it paused on?
