How can you tell it’s going to be a rotten day?

- if you wake up face down on the pavement (sorry lite, not directed at you…)
- if you wake up to find that your waterbed has broken, and then you remember you haven’t got a waterbed at all
- if you push the break pedal in your car, and nothing happens
- if you see a huge mushroom-shaped cloud
- if you wake up because of the noise from the cops at your door
- if you wake up and find a corpse in your bed

- and she slaps you
- a man sees it and hits you
- she screams, a cop comes over, and you ride in his car
- and she's not ticklish
- and she runs away
- and she hurts herself while falling down

Then it's going to be a rotten day

...You blow a snotbubble thru a hankerchief.
...The elevator door closes before you see the out-of-order sign.
...A team from 60 minutes is waiting at your office.
...You call suicide prevention hotline and they put you on hold.
...Your paycheck bounces.
...It's not raining across the street.
