How Competitive Are You?

Normally I'm not a competitive person; I've never ever cared about winning at a sport or games or anything, I only want to beat 'my' personal best with my fitness and such...until I started bidding on Ebay. That might have been a mistake because Now It's ON. I become ruthless and it's a damn good thing they don't tell you who's bidding against you because I'd be in jail; I can totally see myself rolling up on some 84 yr old who outbid me on "MY" new Far Side curtains and kicking her walker away on general principle. It's that serious (hangs head in shame)

What brings out your competitive side?

ROFL!! Sorry Bella. I just can't quite picture you doing that...outbid or not.

I compete with myself as well, I suppose. Although it's more challenging myself to do my best. I get thoroughly annoyed with myself when I screw up on things.

As for with others... I really don't get into competing with people. It always makes me feel like we have to prove we're better than the other person, which I've never felt the need/desire to do. Playing a sport or something simply for fun is one thing. But, competition just isn't my cup of tea. When I played ball a lot (back before my body started interfering with things like that), if the other person was getting carried away with being overly competitive, I'd simply walk away from it.

Arguing/debating. I am endlessly competitive when it comes to verbal exchange. I can't help it. And when it comes to someone saying I *have* to do something or *can't* do something. I don't know if you'd call that competitive, subborn or childish, but if you tell me I'm not allowed to do something, you can pretty much guarantee I'm going to do it. I don't know why...a control thing I guess.

Y'know, while I prolly should, I never think of myself as competitive in debate. Either I'm wrong or I'm right; if I'm wrong I'm ok with that and if I'm right then it's not really a debate because, well, I'm right 😈

Basically in anything where I have a chance to win, I am very highly competitive. Probably my biggest flaw.

ebay is evil.. for I do the samething Bella.. I am not a competative person but if you dont know who I am on on line.. IT IS ON.

ROTFLMAO @Bella and Dimples. Ebay changes people for sure.

Me, I'm very, very competitive but mostly with myself. It may start with someone doing something that gets me going but it doesn't take long before I'm wanting to prove it to no one else but me.

And, like Skippy, telling me I can't do something makes it Opposite Day.

I'm not competitive...because I'll always be on top of everybody else and nobody will ever change that..........EVER :paranoia:

About this much;

I'm consider an Ebay sniper; I have my phone setup to notify me within 2 minutes before the bid is over. Then I take my shot.

Would this perhaps be a contest about who's the most competitive? In that case:

IT'S ON, BITCH!

No, seriously, I am very competetive. If there's a competition of any sort I will do my very best at winning. Ofcourse sometimes it's better to be a bit more of a sport and play along a bit but apart from that it's about winning.

I am used to coming in last. So i have no competitive spirit whatsoever. I'd just end up getting dissapointed when i got my butt kicked in whatever the competition it was.

I definitely have a pretty big competitive streak. I think it's from all the sports growing up... something about spending most of your days (talking like... elementary school-mid high school) coming home from school and heading right back out to play football or kickball or baseball or whatever with the same group of people really fuels the competitive fires.

I also tend to get overly competitive when I drink. Overly competitive with a hint of stupid thrown in... which is why I don't drink too too often.

Luckily, in recent years anyway, I have found a way to turn the dial down a little bit. Sometimes it can't be helped (verbal debate tends to get out of hand sometimes for me as well) but I'm a lot better now at playing certain games just for kicks, instead of for wins and losses.

This is me all over. Be damned if someone is going to tell me i can't do something... or shut up (we all know i talk too much). Really, outside of that, my competitive nature is pretty subdued these days.

I am more competitive than anyone else who has posted before me.

Anything you can do...I can do better....I can do anything...better than you.

:happyhop:

Competitive, hm, I suppose I can be on the fun level, and it drives me to better myself. But I won't be tripping you at the finish line and punching you in the liver to win.

I honestly think they ebayaholics anonymous... I'm under control now, but I used to be a bit um... >.> obsessed? With elephants even...

I'm a serious competitor with any head to head game...or video games. I would stay up all night in my teens to beat a high score...or beat my own highest. OCD...? Maybe.

I'm probably the least competitive gent that I know. I don't care if I win or lose at games because I just have fun actually playing.

I admit, when I attend writing sessions with my group, I like to try and outshine a fellow member who also writes surrealistic pieces, but its all in good fun, never becomes a bloodsport or anything like that.

I too am pretty competitive, especially about things that rely on intellect. I am the scourge of Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble boards everywhere!

I wouldn't say that I am really competitive per se. I mean I can be a bit competitive and yes at times bit more than competitive but when that happens it is not something trivial or little-it is usually because it is about or I will fight really hard for something I want and something that means a lot to me. Then yeah I can be very competitive and yes I will admit I can be more than my share of a little bit dominant. I do have a big time dominant streak in me-gosh forbid if there is a risk of me losing something special, near, or dear to me-LOOK OUT-I will fight long and hard and endlessly to make sure I keep what is special and dear to me. That is just the way I am.

Yes I also do enjoy and love to win when playing board games to be honest-however there can be times I don't care and not real competitive when it comes to that, depends on the board game or what game I am playing and who I am playing with at the time-only a few recreational games I will play-that is badmitton and volleyball...I don't really care for other sports to be honest. I was never really physically coordinated when it came to sports as a child or as a early adolescent not even when getting older before reaching an adult-sports never been my strength. However I do enjoy playing badmitton and volleyball and yes also certain videogames on the PS2 and when it comes to certain videogames-Shrek Super Slam, especially Monopoly board game or video game PS 2, Sonic HedgeHog Tennis PS 2, Pac Man Rally 2 and certain games-I am very competitive and want badly to win...think that is just natural wishing to win. (yes when playing videogames and board games I enjoy and sometimes playing card games Uno and others and yes badmitton and sometimes volleyball...I have been known to talk smack playing around) lol

However like I said I am usually a pretty laid back person and enjoy spending time with friends and meeting new people and befriending them. I also love to be social and love chatting with people. Usually not a whole lot of things I am competitive about-yet like I said before when it comes to things near and dear to me-I fight Fierce and I don't take no for an answer-that is when my dominant streak rules and you can guess-this especially goes for when I am a ler or switch-playful art of tickling. However I always respect and honor a lee's wishes. But yeah that is when my competitive nature comes out to play.

::bunny: :tickling::tickling::tickling::tickling::xpeepsofa:tickling: I am competitive and I am more than a bit dominant and playfully fierce when I need be.
