How do you know if someone has a tickle fetish?

None of my friends outside of TMF or anything know that tickling is a fetish and turn on for me. To them it's my way of flirting and playing. I was at a friend's house the other day and there were a bunch of us. Her bf out his feet by her and she tickled them and she also mentioned she tickled the hell out of another friend a few days prior. Although alot of people tickle that girl in the group because she is very ticklish. It got me thinking because the girl doing the tickling tickles people alot. Guys and girls. I don't know if she just likes to do it for fun or if it's more than that. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Korastus said it best. Just because someone gets tickled or tickles others doesn't necessarily mean they have the fetish. They may just find it amusing, and, since they just think it's flirting or playing when you do it, isn't it possible that that is exactly what she's doing? In any case, if you're curious, best to just ask outright because there is no real way to know if someone has the fetish unless you ask them.

You ask them. That's it.

That's the way to find out. But please - don't ask her! Don't ever ask her!! If a conversation moves that way somewhen and it comes out, fine. But don't just ask someone "Do you have a tickling fetish?". It happened to me once, guy asked me if I had a foot fetish because I had my toe nails painted. It was really, really weird and totally awkward!

Yea I definetly wouldn't ask her outright like that. Cause whether she does or doesn't, it'll get back to me and all of our friends would be thinking how weird I am.

The question can be put in other ways without using the word "fetish". If she again mentions that "she tickled the hell out of another friend a few days prior" as you reported, then you can ask her, "Does that turn you on? Or is it just playful?"

That would still come off as weird in her eyes and all of our friends. I just thought there would be a way to find out. Like a sixth sense or "Tickle-dar."

No. Don't do this. If you even mention "turned on", that's pretty much asking if she has a fetish for it.

Personally, I would just say "wow you must really like tickling" and you can go off that. You may even mention that you've heard that some people consider tickling a fetish and see how she reacts to that. Just don't say it in a really creepy way and put your arm around her going "oooo baby i hear some people consider tickling a fetish" and wink at her and lick your lips. If she's unbelievably paranoid she might catch on depending on how bad of an approach you have, but otherwise you can be very 'matter of fact' about it to avoid that.

Au contraire, I'm just making sure people don't come out of something like that like total idiots who can never come across their friends again! 🙂

Your friends don't have tickling fetishes. You're projecting. The odds are so low of coincidentally knowing another closet ticklephile that it's not even worth thinking about.

If tickling makes you hard/wet , you might have a tickle-fetish.

Where oh where would we all be without you to guide us and set the bar for how we should all conduct ourselves?

To the gentleman who started this thread, I'll tell you what has worked well for me over the years. I wouldn't call it a fetish, or even ask if it turns her on. The closest I might come to that would be to comment, "Wow, it sounds like you are quite the tickler," and finish it with a wink. That way, you've not put her on the spot. You've opened up the floor for her to elaborate if she's so inclined, or to simply leave it at that.
