I know this girl who is really ticklish, and the other day we were at lunch and she had her foot up on my side of the booth using it as a foot rest, so I took her shoe off and started running my fingers up her sole. She said that her feet are the only place that she isn't ticklish, but she said she used to be extremely ticklish there and just isn't anymore. How is that possible and can she become ticklish on her feet again?

possibly from walking barefoot too much, and getting calloused feet, and it's been poven that yur attitude makes you ticklish or not, i.e. if your sad or depressed, you're least ticklish, but if you happy and in a good mood, your most ticklish then.
best bet is to use special foot lotions at least twice a day, the best advice is right before bed, put foot lotion on, and tie a plastic bag around your ankles or something to hold in the moisture, and wear socks and shoes all day, and you can be very ticklish within a week.

Its possible its true, but then its also possible she's lying to you because the whole situation may have embarassed her whether she said anything or not.
Its also a way of getting out of a ticklish situation. Maybe she says that so you won't tickle her there because she really IS ticklish there. She may just be trying to play some reverse psychology on you. And if she secretly likes it, this may be a subtle way of her daring you to try it. I wouldn't risk it on an assumption though, if I were you. Not unless you two are already that close and she doesn't mind you touching her like that.

Well then, it seems to me that you've got plenty of opportunity to find out. Keep an eye on her facial expressions too and not just the way her body moves and reacts. A stoic face is often an attempt to hold back laughter and is a show of defiance.
On the other hand however, its entirely possible that she really isn't ticklish on her feet, for all the reasons BigNorm stated and more. I know a girl that wasn't ticklish on her feet either, and she told me it was because she wore flip-flops all the time and her soles became rougher and less ticklish as a result. This was an online friend by the way, so I had no way of knowing for sure.

Ah Ha!!! That's what they say, but I can prove that that is not the cause of non-ticklish feet. How, so glad you asked. 😀
My first girlfriend was the most ticklish girl I have ever dated. She was one of those ALL OVER ticklish types...I swear the girl was ticklish on her teeth. What was also cool was that she never seemed to mind being tickled. I mean, everyone tickled this girl, especially me. Sometimes her friends and I would gang tickle her and she would roll on the ground laughing herself to peices. She had the cutest laugh too. You know...sometimes I really miss her...she really was wonderful...
Huh, Oh yeah, anyway back to the point.
She also had the most ticklish feet I have ever encountered on a person. I'm not making this up...blowing a puff of air on the sole of her foot would send her into giggles. I wouldn't even have to tickle her, i would just touch the bottom of her foot and she would jump and disolve into laughter. Her feet were also heavily callosed and rough. She always either went without shoes or wore flip-flops.
Personally, I think that it has more to do with a person's genes than foot care. Just like some people might be very ticklish around their waist, but wont even crack a smile if their armpits are tickled. Same thing.
