I'm 68 (but feel 22 and act 12 in my silly moments). Got my first computer in 1998, went to "Love @ AOL" (now Match.com, I think) and saw a girl's profile and, at the end of it where they called for a "personal quote", hers was "tickle tickle tickle". Needless to say, it got my attention and I e-mailed her and we started an on-line romance, graduated to telephone, and after about 4 months I travelled to meet her and had one of the great weekends of my life. We had a good number of similar times over the years, but this all started just a month or so after I had gotten my computer. It seemed so easy. But I guess it was beginners' luck. Since then it hasn't been quite so easy. But prior to '98, it was all adult shops with tickle movies to rent and rooms to watch them in, VHSs to buy and see at home when nobody else was looking, and the various magazines mentioned by others that I also saw (and bought at times), and some correspondence with Max Speer. Of course, with the internet of today, events like NEST and sites like TMF exist that could never have happened in pre-computer days. As a NEST vet I have had this discussion with others over the years and have made the point in the past that just because I am older than the average TMFr does not mean that I, and others my age, didn't have just as strong a passion to tickle as anybody today. It's just that the internet has helped bring us together.
