How "normal" really is having a foot fetish?

I have a foot fetish...well more of a "soles" fetish cause I've said before in a previous thread (as many others of you did) that really only the "bottoms" of women's feet is my fetish (instead of women in hose, toes, painted nails, etc). But still it's part of a woman's feet (the soles) so overall I would have to say I have a foot fetish since I'd rather see a woman's soles more than her boobs.
But I have seen statistics about how many guys have a foot fetish (that its crazy how popular a foot fetish is amongst guys). I've seen on foot fetish polls that a study showed 70% of males 18-50 at least were "attracted/liked" women's feet, not necessarily having a foot fetish persay. But my question is do any of you have any idea/facts to backup the % of guys that actually have a foot fetish (get turned on by women's feet). Honestly I would say its about 5%. I think 1 out of every 20 guys on average at least has a minor/moderate foot fetish. My friend who has a foot fetish seems to think SOOOOOOOOOO many more than that do. What % do you honestly think have a foot fetish?

I enjoy female feet, too, Edge, and I have probably since my age of reason, long before my tickling fetish ever became conscious. Here's what I think:
Actually, the definition of a "fetish", really is when someone can not achieve sexual arousal, such as an erection for a man, or sexual pleasure for either a woman or a man, without being exposed to that object or body part. By definition, a guy that can achieve an erection by becoming aroused by other parts of a woman's body, but likes to kiss or tickle her feet during sex play, may not have a "fetish" by definition. A "fetish", as Iam given to understand, from what I've read, would be where that individual would actually have to hold the foot in his hand, and maybe even have genital contact with the foot, to be considered a full "fetish". It is much the same way with tickling. Many like tickling, but, from the definition I've read, the true "fetishists" of tickling, do not get sexually turned on unless they are either tickled or tickle another during sex.
Now, as to what percentage have it: I would say that many men, and maybe women for that matter, but mostly men, I'd guess in the case of feet, enjoy looking at, and maybe even playing with female feet. That is probably a very high percentage, 50 to 75 percent, or such. As to how many men have a true and actual "foot fetish", where they cannot achieve sexual arousal without having genital or other contact with the female foot, that number is probably very low, 25% or less, I'm not sure. I fall into the former category. I love to play with female feet if sexually involved with a woman, and wouldnt want to be involved with someone who refused to let me play with her feet ever, but, I dont know or think that I have a true "foot fetish", because it does not take contact with the female foot for me to become aroused. I like to call my enjoyment of feet, and even tickling, an "interest", something I enjoy that I definitely need to feel satisfied sexually, but not something where I cant become sexually aroused, or fit the definition of fetish, unless I have contact with female feet, or tickle the daylights out of a girl.
Good topic. I will be very interested to see the responses to this. My response is just how I see this issue.

P'S The soles are also my favorite part of the female foot. I love seeing a nice, soft pair of ticklish looking female soles! :bump:

You're Normal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:bump:

Look you are as normal as anyone else. I love the female foot with a great passion. But a foot fetish is no more abnormal than having a boob fetish, a leg fetish, an ass fetish, hair fetish etc. Wether yours in just the soles or just the tops, feet are feet and I love them all.

You seek your fetish and let no one stand in your way!! And believe me there are more foot fetis people out here than you think!!!!!

I think it is entirely normal for men to believe that a woman's feet can be erotic. I think a majority of men feel that way.

If you ask what percentage would rather see a woman's bare feet than her bare breasts, that would likely be much smaller, maybe even as low as the 5% you mentioned.

You ARE Normal...(and I don't mean Abby-Normal)

I think that foot fetishism has many varied shades of gray, just like anything else in this world. I also believe that the statistics you have read have absolutely nothing to do with what is normal.

Mitchell made an interesting point by defining a fetish clinically. It's difficult to say with any real accuracy how many men fall into such a narrow scope of a definition, so it better to simply discount the clinical definition of fetishism for the purposes of your question.

Let's not forget, that the defiinition of a fetish is rooted in the clinical examination of "abnormal sexual behavior" or "deviant sexual behavior" as defined by the psychiatric community. However, for all intents and purposes by today's standards, the definition of a fetish has expanded in proportion to the activities and social acceptabilities of pop culture. Just as the definition of "Kinky" has been watered down by pop culture to include damn near anything that is merely outside the scope of the most basic of courtship ritual, so too, has the definition of a fetish. It is now a matter of everyday conversation for a woman to say "I have a shoe fetish" simply because she buys many pairs of shoes. Does this mean that she cannot achieve sexual arousal unless she is wearing, touching, or smelling shoes during sex? Of course not.

Bearing this newly-accepted social definition of fetishism in mind, I would venture to guess that many men now find themselves less embarrassed to say that they find female feet attractive. This does not mean that they all find female feet attractive to the same degree or frequency. It merely means that our society has peeled away many of the layers of stigma normally associated with the term fetish, so that more and more people may now express their attraction to things that used to be taboo.

This takes us to the ultimate definition: Normal. What exactly IS normalcy? The answer is that it is a concept, not a universal truth. It is a definition of behavior that is only true for as many people as are willing to accept its definition. In other words, normal is as normal does.

So, the answer to your question is Yes. It is completely normal to have a foot fetish. It is normal to find the soles of women's feet attractive. It is normal to find sexual arousal in the fantasizing, touching, smelling, tickling, or loving of women's feet. It is normal because it does not force itself upon others who do not subscribe. It does not take away others' rights to disagree, or to exercise their own definition of normal. It is normal because in its practice, it is benign, yet empowering, exciting and fulfilling. Lastly, it is normal because it is a part of your identity as an otherwise "normal," active member of society.

Yes I'm normal!!!

Reason I brought this topic up is because I myself am amazed at finding out how many guys like women's feet. Its incredible...like you said to different degrees though.

Its just hard to explain sometimes. Like I met a new girl the last month or 2 I've been talking to her a lot. Of course I want to let her know I have a foot fetish. So I've tried to and finally she realized I do...by talking to her/mentioning things about feet etc...and then just told her about it. She was suprised at first and said it sounds "weird." But then she looked at it online and now can't believe how many guys have a foot fetish. She kinda laughs and is amazed at it.

Normal is a hard thing to determine when it comes to sexuality. Looking at the interests of this site and otherwise, I would venture a guess that foot fetishes are more common than armpit fetishes but less common than breast or ass fetishes. And yeah, the stereotypical fascination with breasts in this country is still a fetish -- but that's not a bad thing by any means. I'd guess that about... oh... 25% of males have a foot fetish. As for women, I would guess that percentage is much lower....

I agree 100% and feel the same way on that my friend 😎

Now as for me, I am a true "fetishist" I suppose when it comes to the tickling/feet thing and sex. I honestly can not get turned on by the basic clee-shay (spelling?) of "ooo breasts".."ooo naked women" or just basic kissing, touchy feely etc. With me, at least foot play to some extent has to be involved to truly get me going and 100% ready to go for the full thrust. Thats what makes me "me" and im quite happy being me and not embarased to admit what I like nor my fetish if asked or if the discussion were to come up. And it's like...take it or leave it. The word "normal" in my oppinion relates to being a robotic droan so to speak putting it in light terms. My motto and belief...be yourself, be proud of it and dont let anyone else tell you different. Whats "normal" to one, may be abnormal to another. There is no "normal" or abnormal if you ask me. Just be proud of your fetish, beliefs, likes and dislikes, speak your mind of all things in life and dont ever hide em and be ashamed. And if certain people dont agree or like it...then..ya know where they can go :jester: So theres my no BS speak my mind input on this thread.

normal..most men i know like feet in some way to some extent!! maybe im justlucky.

n a magazine i was reading though, apparently tickling is listed under one of the top hundred bizarre fetishes!!! funny i have never hhad a bad reaction when telling ppl about mine...

Attitudes are changing. There was a young kid who worked with us, who freely admitted to me his foot fetish. I'm a little more circumspect: I chose not to talk about mine. But that's neither here nor there.

I find that when subjects like this come up, most people are like, "well...okay. Not my cuppa tea." The ones who profess distaste for the whole thing are very much in the minority. Usually because they're intolerant people per se. I've always felt that the ones who REALLY have a problem with it, who make a grandiose display of revulsion, usually are hiding something. My best friend falls into this category.

I have said many times in these forums: it's all how you present it. If you present it right, you can have the feet of ANY woman in the world in your lap. I'm not joking. It's true.
