I do want to give the Celtics some props. They played their asses off for all four quarters. They never quit. They never died. They played until the final horn. Believe me, I hate the whole Boston organization, and nothing makes me happier than watching them lose. But dammit, they are a very tough team and they played with tremendous heart. Their fans should be proud.
This title is very sweet. I wanted the Lakers to play Boston. That team humiliated us 2 years ago. They took our man cards. The Lakers were called soft. We got punked. Even though we won the title last year, we still had to prove ourselves against our greatest nemisis. You could tell Phil wanted this one bad. The whole team, city, everyone wanted this one real bad. To beat Boston in a game 7 in LA was really sweet.
Kobe Bryant now has 5 rings. 2 Finals MVPs. He absolutely sucked on offense tonight, but he did other things like grab rebounds and play defense. He trusted his teammates down the stretch. I know people hate Kobe Bryant, but give the man his due. Please keep this in mind. Kobe Bryant is the best player in the NBA today. It's not Lebron. It's not Dwayne Wade. It is Kobe Bryant. People can't dispute that.

Ron Artest. People thought he would hurt the Lakers. Not quite. Artest brought what was needed. Defensive tenacity. Tonight, in the biggest game of his career, Artest played huge. he was the MVP of tonight's game. What was funny was his reactions after the game. This guy is hilarious. And people thought he would hurt the Lakers...
Don't worry Laker haters. I got all my frustrations out last year. No trash talk. No statements of "kiss my ass". I am so proud of this Laker team. They played hard during these Finals and beat a very good Celtics team. Now, I am really tired as I write this. man, this game drained me. Can't we just win by 20 to feel good? Hopefully, we can 3-peat. Again.....
