Here is how the Generations Work:
The Lost Generation 1883-1900
Greatest Generation 1901-1927
The Silent Generation 1928-1945
The Babyboomers 1946-1964
Generation X 1965-1980
Millennials 1981-1996
Zoomer/GenZ 1997-2012
Generation Alpha 2010-2024

These are the years within which each generation would have been born.

You must have made a typo. Otherwise people born in 1926 and 1927 (such as my late Aunt Vicki) are orphans with no generation.

I found the attached chart which shows the Greatest Generation as 1901-1927 which fills in the gap.
On the other hand, it is vague about Generation Alpha.

The Greatest Generation is the one that caught the Nazis, many of whom are probably a big part of everything you think makes yours the greatest (well then and the so-called Silent Generation).

You should correct them. Anybody born between 1981 and 1996 is a Millennial (also called Generation Y).

The only thing this labeling of generations does is separates and segregated us into groups and thus allows each generation to shit on the other generations. Seriously. All I see on the internet is wars between generations. Gen X hates Millenials,x theyre the worst. Millennial cant stand Gen Z, theyre lazy and useless. And everyone hates Generation Alpha. We dont speak about that generation. Just another way to divide and conquer I guess.

I will say though, any generation calling themselves "the greatest generation" in my books automatically is not. Seems kinda bold, maybe a little narcissistic or too into themselves. I dont think any one generation is better or worse than the next or previous. Every generation faces their problems and challenges and every generation has some of the brightest minds and most idiotic people.
