How well would you deal with losing your kink/fetish?

Statistically, most of us will lose interest in our fetish/kink with age. Even if we don't lose it completely, it will deminish severely. I was too lazy to post a link but I've read it numerous places before.
I have mixed emotions about it. Logically, if I wouldn't care anymore then it won't be a big deal. Emotionally, I can't imagine myself without it nor do I want to.

Do you believe it or think that it'll never happen to you? How do you feel about it if true?

This is impossible for me, I think. I'm literally fetishist - I can feel sexual urge only when I see or think about tickling, only when tickling is in some way involved. Sexuality is inseparably tied with tickling for me.

I don't feel like I'll ever lose it, myself. It's a pretty big part of my life, at least at the moment, and I can't really imagine myself without it. Then again, I've said that about other phases of my life before, phases that I now look back on and wonder how I was ever so into them, so perhaps my love of tickling will go the same route one day. I certainly hope it doesn't, and it's a sad idea to think about, but whatever happens happens.
That said, there would be a few perks to losing my tickle fetish; if I no longer wanted or cared about the vast amounts of "material" I've got hoarded away on my computer, I'd be able to free up an assload of hard drive space right quick! XD

If I woke up tomorrow and didn't have my foot/tickling fetish and took an equally large interest in traditional sexual activities I would thank my lucky stars lol. It's much harder (pun intended) to have a foot/tickle fetish especially when your spouse doesn't share it.

I'm fairly certain that fetishes do not diminish their value in sexual stimulation with time, but I believe people respond differently to sexual arousal as new interests appear. For the longest time, I didn't find footjobs to be arousing but over time it developed. And I used to find bondage very appealing but now I don't find it quite as stimulating, but I do find it still sexually appealing.

Thankfully my partner is willing to put up with my fetish, most of the time, and I do my best to accommodate her. she's got a think for mild breath play and tickling is one of the safer ways to induce that feeling (note. you still have to keep a good eye on your partner)
