I'm hyper sensitive to touch, always have been., It has made me wonder if it is a result of a medical issue. To shorten the story I was born with spina bifida and my Mom always thought that was the reason why. Looking it up now, I wonder if I have autism.
 
I’ve always been hyper sensitive/ticklish. I’m also on the spectrum. Always wondered if there is a connection.
 
I think that's part of it, isn't it? More sensitivity ro external stimuli than what may be considered average? That's what I would guess, but I'm not doctor.
