I Added My Bank Account To My Paypal Account

I finally did it. I took the plunge
into the relatively unknown cyberspace and put trust in PayPal. Now I will go to the bank and update my bank book and see if the 2 under a dollar deposits from Paypal are there. I guess its time to wait now. Next week will be the all or nothing time to see if I will be 1 of the millions of happy PayPal customers or 1 of the irate, upset ex-customers.

I would like to thank all who helped me make the decision to take the plunge. I really appreciate your replies, patience and time to help me. 😀 🙂 😉

Oh good grief Raj, leap into online banking. Like... website. Like.. instant banking info. If your bank doesn't offer this, switch to a bank that does.

I think CIBC has online banking. Paypal has listed 6-8 days for Canadian banks and no time for American banks.

Here in the big 48, it's Wells Fargo. Online everything.

I realize I'm in the minority here but i don't like paypal.

Nine transactions totally $135 were removed from my checking account to my paypal acct. One small problem...I dont' have a paypal account. I reported teh activity, froze the bank account and contacted Paypal.

First of all, they need the last four digits of your acct number and your account email addy to help you. You can see how I'd have a hard time giving them that. They asked for my email addresses to see if they were attached to accounts on paypal. Nope. Then they went on to say how secure their system is ant that the only way to verify a legit account is to report back to them in what order two measly deposits went in. Only the account holder can do that ....(or anyone that may have his freakin online account password).


I don't know who did it or how. Could be someone at work recording keystrokes I guess. I got my money back from my bank all but the $70 over draft fee.

Anyway, use caution. Identity theft is out there.

This is great. I'm licensed to carry firearms. The data base I'm on with my name address SS# DOB, parents names, criminal history, etc.....hacked into and info stolen. Than you to the County Sheriff's dept. Sigh.

Thanks JMedic20. I'll be aware of Online Fraud. I used a secure computer at my home to create my account and made a complex password too.
