No don't do that. We have such a small percentage of people who actually contribute original material that it would be a real shame to loose someone with the creativity and guts to publish something.

I've always wanted to draw but have quit many times because I get frustrated at my own output. Some years back there was a really great interview with the British actor Michael Caine. One of the things he talked about was the hostile reviews his performances got and that he would never be an actor. His decision was that he would make so many films that before anyone realised he wasn't an actor he would be one.
I decided that this was the approach and have now done thousands of drawings. Most are bad, some are interesting and a very few are good enough to go on my wall.
So the answer is to keep working at what you want to do until you get the results you want.

If you want someone to proofread and offer constructive criticisms before you release something I'd be happy to help.
