I don't know, this made me feel good.

The other day I'm headed east on 2nd street. Approaching an intersection I see one car pulled over to the curb and another one stopped in the middle of the street. I'm not sure what to make of this, I'm too far away to see much at this point.

Getting closer, I see there is something under the car blocking the road and they are trying to reach it but can't. Now I don't know what to think until the "object" starts moving. Turns out it was a Chicken turtle, or Deirochelys reticularia crossing the street. These folks took some time out of a no doubt busy day to help this little guy and it made me smile. And, I think turtles in general are cool critters.

The last I saw he made it safely across the street. 🙂

My dad told me that when he was a kid he'd go to a local lake to catch turtles which he then sold to an elderly black gentleman who made soup out of them.
