I don't laugh when I am tickled, but it definitely tickles

So I am kind of confused as to why this is the case, however I do not really laugh when I am tickled. I have the reaction, i.e squirming and kicking, and I am DEFINITELY ticklish. ESPECIALLY on my feet, which are usually sensitive due to wearing work boots all day. Yet, I have been in numerous tickle fights where I am "losing", essentially letting the person tickle my feet, and yet I do not really laugh aside from some heavier breathing. Is this weird? I think it is pretty weird. Anybody else have this...idk if I would say issue, but you get what I mean. Kinda feel like I have an internal challenge to see who can get me to gutteral laugh from tickles.

maybe it feels more like a massage than anything which is why you don't laugh

I'm the same way I squirm and try to break free but don't laugh as others would. I can't explain why

I have this same issue. Like for example, the tops of my feet are very sensitive when I run my fingers over them after I take my socks off. I can feel the sensation quite a bit, but I don't laugh for some reason...don't know why that is...

Maybe it's your brain telling you that there is really no threat. Have you been in this position where you couldn't get away? I'm guessing that if you tried this, the situation might be more "ticklish".
