Hello to you all.
This is my first broadcasted post, but as this is my second stint on here (I operated under a separate name many moons ago), I wouldn't classify myself as a lurker. I've been intending on writing this for some time, but life inevitably gets in the way. As I have run out of things to do, I figured now was as good a time as any.
Basically, I want to say thank you, to each and every one of you, for creating, posting and sharing your experiences, your opinions and ultimately yourselves. As a young man of 23, I'm unable to relate with the 'Old-Guard' and their tales of life before the internet and the incredibly various difficulties this threw up, but that by no means devalues the effect that a place like this can and has had, even on a child of the internet era like myself. Like so many before I have always had the passion for tickling teamed with the fear I was the only one who felt this way. The TMF opened my eyes in more ways than I can possibly express! It showed me that I was not alone, that yes there were others who felt the same but, importantly, you should celebrate not only the broadness of our fetish but also your unique place among it. Of course there are 'sub-categories' that you can place your likes and your interests within but ultimately, your fetish is your own. And that's okay! You're not broken, there isn't something wrong with you and of course you're not the only person to ever feel this way! What are you, an idiot? As if 7 billion people in the world wasn't enough to make you think at least 1 other person would be able to relate... But that's how it felt before I found you! 'Lo and behold, you all knew that, you'd all been there and yes, you could relate.
This place is wonderful. My time spent reading and relating to the posts on here has been invaluable, most noticeably when I was stressed about the big reveal to my girlfriend, finding there were recommendations from those of you who had come through the other side unscathed helped greatly. I have found confidence and jealousy in reading stories of those who had the courage to throw caution to the wind, I revel in the abilities of some utterly sublime artists (and you are artists), while I continually applaud/steal the ideas and techniques of producers on how to illicit the 'ultimate' ticklish reaction, for which my GF would like to both thank and beat you for 🙂.
I am aware of the generally soppy undertone this message contains but if you, the people of the TMF have proven one thing to me, it's that something you say may resonate with others, even if it's just that 1 solitary person who takes home your message. So, if you're reading this and you have miraculously found 1 thing that you can relate and take home with you then I am glad I could be of help, and if not, there are worse ways to have spent the last couple of minutes!
To those of you who have unselfishly shared yourselves with a community and unknowingly had a hand in the person I am today,
Thank you. It's truly appreciated 🙂
