I may not be the first, and I hope not to be the last, but I would like to take this time to offer my condolences and prayers for the victims and families of victims sufferring from the horrible attacks on the Madrid rail system this week.
It is truly sad that we live in a world in which free and prosperous peoples are so abhorrant to someone that that someone would want to destroy lives, infrastructre and any sense of security.
I have no doubt in my mind that the great nation of Spain can pick up the pieces and recover from this mess, and I am certain that the cowards responsible will be brought to justice.

Thank you.

An angry Spain

Impressive display of unity...nearly half the population of the country demonstrated against terrorism yesterday, and their local group of resident terrorists quickly disavowed any responsibility for the massacre. I think they'll be ruthless in the hunt...welcome allies, though under horrific circumstances.

May they make their way through the darkness quickly...

My prayers to those who lost their lives needlessly, to those who were injured, and to the families and friends whose lives are changed forever.

May they find those responsible and be swift and ruthless in dealing out just punishments.

Lets hope.......

....this thread is treated with the respect it deserves, unlike similar threads about the bali bombing, which were not.

it is of course a tragedy, my sympathy to all involved. The people that carry out such hate and such hideous acts of terrorism do not belong in this world, they are not human beings.

I am just so glad I don't commute into NYC anymore by train. I know the chances are slim but I still like the odds of commuting by car.

My heart goes out to all the families of those who wastefully lost their lives.

It is beyond a pathetic shame when a group of psychotic sociopaths decide they need to prove some sick politcial point by taking the lives of other people. What makes this even worse, they're cowards as well.

I hope the perpetrators are found, brought to the public square, and dealt with in the fiercest manner possible. Hell isn't sufficient punishment for these a**holes!

These victims had families, jobs, lives to live and were doing just fine until someone felt it okay to blow them to pieces. Some of these poor folks won't even be able to have a decent funeral due to the condition of their "remains".

This is senseless and pathetic at the very least.

I can only pray for the remaining family members to be strong throughout this time of grief. We in America have some idea how Spain feels today, along with many countries around the world.🙁 😡
