i`ll probably be struck by lightening..... but anyone else miss the old chat room?

i was just curious....the chat room seems to be getting quieter and quieter lately....please myriads and jeff,don`t smite me with lightening or anything,but do many others miss the old one?i know quite a few do as it`s cropped up in the chat room numerous times.i know it`s free,which i`m eternally grateful for as i`m impoverished,marauders put a lot of work into it,and the mods have a quieter life in general,but it`s just not the same place anymore!anyone agree or have any thoughts? 🙂

The chat room does have it's quiet times, but it can't be jumpin' all the time. I personally see no negatives with the new room.

I miss some of the ladies I've spoken with in the past. I don't know if they still visit and I just miss them, or if they're gone.

Mostly though, I miss Pawz! *sigh!*

Well, there are a few things I miss about the old room. I loved being able to make up idiotic names like "SnorkelPecker" and appear late at night to freak out my friends. Mostly just the goofy stuff like that.

Being able to have an alias without registering twice is the only thing I miss. The new room is less pleasing on the eye I suppose, but it's definatley drawn the fangs of Speedoman and sent him back to his sad little hole.

There are pros and cons to both rooms. The old one DID have the plus of being able to use pseudo-identities. That's cool when you want to lurk or whatever. But, the fact that we're largely troll free now is a huge plus.

As for the activity, I don't think there's THAT much difference. I'm in and out all the time and don't see a whole lot of change there. Yes, there are a few people who obviously didn't want to register and be "known". But, I don't think the numbers are all that high.

In the end, I think the new room is better.

I have to agree. I think the new room's benefits outweigh the detractions.
