Tony has had an extremely tough year. First, he was arrested for a DUI in March in Jupiter, Florida during spring training. Then Josh Hancock, one of the Cardinal relievers died tragically in a car accident after a night of drinking at Mike Shannons Restaurant, which is a popular hangout for ballplayers and media. And just two weeks ago, reserve player Scott Spezio checked himself into a drug rehab center and will miss the rest of the season. LaRussa has taken quite a bit of heat for losing control of his players. But hopefully, this record will put a smile on his face.

He is a awesome manager, but I honestly think Oakland was his best managerial years

When Tony first arrived in St. Louis, the fans were still suffering from post Whitey’s years and all his accomplishments. Tony was the washed up manager from Oakland who can’t carry Whitey’s jock strap. Now, if you mention the name Whitey, most of the younger fans will look at you as if you have two heads.

BUT THE MAIN REASON WHY I LOVE HIM IS; WE BEAT THAT NO GOOD DETRIOT TEAM IN THE WORLD SERIES.
