I’ve always found them to be an interesting species, especially because of their enormous ancestors.

But one of the more peculiar an ironic behaviors of modern sloth’s that always fascinated me was that while they have no problem with (and probably depend on) fungus growing on their fur as they live their lives in the trees tops of the rain forest, they feel the compelling need to climb down several hundred feet at great risk from predators, for the sole purpose to defecate!

I don’t believe I would exhibit the same level of discipline and dedication being in their position.

They are indeed creatures deserving of our respect.
